Jeju Island's Emerald Sea
The emerald sea of Jeju Island! The best part of my recent trip to Jeju was the sea view from the Aewol Cafe Street!
Although the weather wasn't great during my trip to Jeju, the sea still showed off its lush emerald color. It was one of the best travel destinations I've been to, so I highly recommend it to everyone!
It's not too far from the airport, so it's easy to get to! If you visit Jeju Island, make sure to have a coffee at Aewol Cafe Street and enjoy the beautiful blue sea of Jeju!
Jeju Anti-Japanese Memorial Hall
The Three Major Anti-Japanese Movements in Jeju
Beopjeongsa Anti-Japanese Movement
In 1918, around 400 people, including Buddhists, Seondo Church followers, and local residents, attacked and burned down the Jungmun Police Station on October 6th and 7th. This was the largest single struggle before the March 1st Movement, representing the Jeju residents' resistance against Japanese economic exploitation and their movement to restore national sovereignty.
Jocheon Independence Movement
From March 21st to 24th, 1919, the Jocheon area witnessed a series of independence movements. The first protest took place at Mimindongsan (Independence Hill), and the subsequent protests were held at the Jocheon Market, where large crowds could gather. This movement awakened the national consciousness of Jeju residents and became the foundation for future anti-Japanese movements in the region.
Haenyeo Anti-Japanese Movement
Led by the female divers of Jeju, this movement was a struggle against the Japanese and the Haenyeo Association, which infringed on the divers' right to livelihood. It was the largest fisherfolk movement led by women and the most significant anti-Japanese movement of the 1930s. Over 238 protests, involving a total of 17,000 participants, resisted Japan's colonial exploitation policies.
Japanese colonial rule was not the fault of the Korean people.
Even if I am branded a traitor, Joseon fell because it was weak.
There were invasions due to the class system, corruption, and peasant uprisings.
Severe inequality and rampant corruption led to its downfall.
If Japan glorifies its colonial history, improving Korea-Japan relations will be difficult.
During the Japanese colonial period, there were forced labor and comfort women, among other war crimes.
The Oriental Development Company seized Korean land and resources.
Anyone could participate in the independence movement to restore national sovereignty.
To achieve true independence, there must be many living patriots.
Japanese politics must change to prevent the creation of a bad history.
Apologies, compensation, and recording and educating about the facts are necessary.
Korea-Japan relations should move forward with truth, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
The state must educate for peace, mediate, and maintain it.
If one does not meet the standards set by the group, they are excluded.
A criminal group can pose as righteous by making others criminals.
Even if one is honest and law-abiding, there is no guarantee of winning an election.

A restaurant specializing in boneless chicken ribs.
Located in Sinpung-dong, Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do, Mugyodong Nakji Chuncheon Dakgalbi.
This place only serves chicken ribs, and you can order either regular chicken ribs or boneless chicken ribs! I don't eat chicken skin, so I really like that they have a boneless chicken ribs menu :)
They use Harim chicken thigh meat, cut and deboned on-site, and marinate it in homemade sauce for two days before serving! It's not too spicy, but rather sweet and mild, making it great for kids.

Jeonju Tuna Angol Restaurant Jeonju Omakase Restaurant Inhudong Tuna Sashimi Restaurant Recommendation: Darangi Tuna Tavern Jeonju Angol Branch
#Domestic travel
There are so many restaurants with tuna as their theme,
but this was the most delicious tuna sashimi bar I've been to recently.
If you order a plate of Mansour tuna for the number of people,
they give you an extra plate of special tuna parts,
and it was really impressive that they cut it right in front of you!
They also give you a lot of side dishes as a service :)
They also have a tuna menu for one person, so you can drink alone,
and there are more room tables than halls, so you can have a private meal!
I was so satisfied here that I would 100% visit again😊

This is a prop shop that is mentioned a lot among the prop shops on the west side, and it was definitely unique!
There were a lot of silver products and simple accessories, and if the price was a little lower, I would have bought something too ㅠㅠ Unfortunately, I left empty-handed
However, the cat inside was really cute🐈
🍙JejuMeoseumneJeonbokGimbab GeumneungPanpoStore
The accommodation is in a place where delivery is not possible, and I am a walker, so I bought dinner in advance and went in!
I called in advance and ordered the mild black pork to be packed, and the owner also prepared tangerines for me, so I was really thankful😆
First of all, the kimbap is wrapped in egg and has a lot of black pork inside, but what I felt was that it was really delicious when you eat the radish salad and danmuji that the owner put in together😋

I visited Hanu Restaurant, located a 7-minute walk from Sokcho Express Bus Terminal. I was looking for a place to have brunch and had wanted to visit this place for a while.
I made a reservation and ordered Yukhoe Bibimbap and Garlic Yukhoe Bibimbap through Naver. The location was easy to find with a signboard, and the space was cozy and simple-modern, as if a villa house had been renovated.
The open kitchen made the atmosphere more hygienic and clean, and the food was delicious. The Garlic Yukhoe Bibimbap is mixed with garlic rice without gochujang, and it was well-seasoned, clean, and not too strong, very tasty. There was no fishy smell at all, and the radish soup and side dishes paired well, making it delicious. The meat seemed fresh and tasted fresh as well. The tteokgalbi was very tasty with a pleasant texture and juicy flavor as soon as you bite into it.
The plum drink served as a final dessert made my mouth feel cleaner and seemed to aid digestion.
