Walk along the aqueduct at Nanzen-ji in Kyoto ⛩️🇯🇵
Located at the end of Philosopher’s Walk, a beautiful pathway surrounded by lush greenery, is Nanzen-ji temple. It is an elegant and solemn temple with ancient buildings, where you can feel the charm of traditional Japanese architecture.
🎫 Entrance to the temple grounds is free but you can buy tickets for individual attractions inside, ranging from 400 to 600 yen each.
There is a large aqueduct that passes through the temple grounds. It is part of a canal system constructed to bring water from Lake Biwa to Kyoto. Here there are many archways where, if you find the right timing with no one else around, you can take a really cool photo! 📸 You can even walk up the steps to the top of the aqueduct and walk along it for a few hundred metres. At the end, there is a wonderful view of Kyoto from high up in the hills.
It is recommended to visit in spring or autumn time to see the cherry blossoms or maple leaves in full bloom. However, the blossom was gone when I visited, but this temple still left a lasting impression on me 🌸🍁

Impressive Lion Head at Namba Yasaka Shrine ⛩️
Just a few minutes walk away from popular shopping area Namba Parks by Namba station, Namba Yasaka Jinja is a small shrine hidden away in the big city of Osaka. It is home to Namba’s guardian deity~ it is believed that the lion has come to eliminate bad luck and drive away evil spirits. Many people come here to wish for good luck and pray for academic improvement.
The shrine is free to enter and doesn’t require a ticket. It is only a small area and the many tourists come to see the large lion head, a very popular spot for photos. The famous Lion Hall is 12 metres tall. It is said that the lion’s mouth swallows evil spirits.
At night time and during festivals, the lion’s eyes can be seen shining as one of the lights in the temple grounds. A very impressive sight to see! 🌟

A Magical Day at Tokyo Disneyland in Japan 🇯🇵⭐️
My trip to Japan was not complete without visiting Tokyo Disneyland!
BEFORE YOU VISIT:
🔸 Buy a ticket online or using the official Tokyo Disneyland app. On here you can also book fast passes and reserve dining experiences.
🔸 Arrive early ~ I experienced first hand just how crowded the park can get. There can be very long queues to enter the park and for the attractions inside.
🔸 Wear comfortable shoes! It’s going to be a long day of standing and walking around!
🚂 Disney in Harmony in Color! Parade ~ watching this parade was so magical and I was especially impressed with the organisation and respect of all guests! Everyone sits along the street to watch so not to block the view for anyone! The atmosphere is amazing, everyone waving and cheering for the characters as they pass by!
🐭 Meet all your favourite characters! I made time to go and meet Donald Duck and Daisy but I wish I went to find other characters!
🌟 Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade ~ This might be one of my favourite parades I’ve watched at a disney park. The lights and the floats were so beautifully designed. It was so much fun!
🎢 Attractions: Don’t miss out on the rides in the park. Some of my favourites are Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Space Mountain!

One of the BEST stay I had in Kyoto! ⭐️
Hotel Kuu is located directly opposite Higashi Honganji Temple offering the convenience of an urban hotel while its exterior and entrance is inspired by the temple latticework. 🇯🇵
The hotel is just a short walk to several attractions including:
👣 7 minutes to Kyoto station

👣 6 minutes to Kyoto Tower
While other popular tourist destinations including Nishiki market, Toji temple, Fushimi Inari shrine, Hanamikoji-dori Street are accessible via public transport in less than 30 minutes. ⛩️⛲️🚂
Enjoy Kyoto’s #obanzai cuisine in the morning at Hotel Kuu’s nourishing and delicious #breakfastbuffet passionately curated using organic Kyoto produce, where you can find a variety of Japanese favorites including sushi, udon, yuba, tempura, pickles, salads, miso, pastries and petite desserts all done impressively well! 😋 💯

Most affordable Omakase in Tokyo
This old shop was established since 1800 and is located inside the Toyosu Market on the 1st floor upon entering the eatery venue. Expect to queue or take number before entering as the space are limited especially during peak period.
Their set menu are very affordable and very fresh. It is kind of Omakase style and cost around Yen 5500 per person.
