The status just had been in awe! You can spend a good 3-4 hours here and then head to the Uluwatu temple afterwards. There are a lot of shops and restaurants here to keep you energized throughout. Nagoya is quite a peaceful city during the day but they really changes at night, it comes alive - especially in the Osu shopping district I started off at my hotel in Sakae and literally followed the lights and the noise all the way to the Osu district. If you walk down Hisaya - Ōdori street you will find all the usual flagships you can expect in a major city along with Japanese department stores and plenty of restaurants Then the stores get smaller and more independent as you hit the Osu area. If you’re particularly interested in thrifting or vintage clothing this area is perfect for you! There are vintage boutiques that sell second hand designer clothes and then bigger stores where you can buy bulk vintage clothes by weight. The Osu area is made up of covered pedestrian streets lined with lots of shops, restaurants and street food stalls. Although it is pedestrianised there are some junctions with traffic so be careful! Having done a few cities in Japan already I decided to take a risk and visit Nagoya and it really paid off, I love this city! It has classic Japanese culture and combines the sprawl of Tokyo with the more laid back vibes of Kyoto - a perfect city for those wanting an easy way into Japan. The Chubu Electric tower it’s located just above Sakae station and is a must do if you want to see the city. The 360 views let you see the whole city from the port in the south to the mountains around the outside of the city You can see the iconic Nagoya castle and the JR towers at Nagoya station. There are two observation decks, one in door and the higher one is semi outdoor. You can get tickets at vending machines in the lobby for around ¥1000, there is also a cage and restaurant on level 3/4.
