A night in Milan
My night in Milano was a perfect blend of beauty, culture, and culinary delight. I started at the magnificent Duomo di Milano, its Gothic architecture glowing at night. After exploring nearby streets, I headed to the vibrant Naviglio district, known for its lively canals and nightlife. There, I enjoyed a traditional aperitivo for €15, a buffet of Italian dishes with a drink, while soaking in the energetic atmosphere. As I savored authentic pasta and bruschetta, the canal lights reflected off the water, creating a magical ambiance. Milano’s rich history and modern charm came together for a truly unforgettable night. #localguides #historicallandmarks #Dumo #milan #italy
Milan: Fashion, Food and Culture 🇮🇹
When I think of Milan, I can’t help but smile—it’s a city where you can dive headfirst into the glitz of high fashion, explore historical landmarks, and indulge in some of the best food Italy has to offer. Whether you’re a fashion lover, a history buff, or just someone who enjoys soaking in stunning views, Milan promises to be the perfect getaway.
(Read all the way through for a special tip to save your euros)
1. Duomo di Milano
Our first stop was, of course, the iconic Duomo di Milano. This gothic masterpiece is as breathtaking in person as it is in pictures. Pro tip: Arrive early to avoid the crowds and definitely take the rooftop tour. The panoramic view of the city from up there is nothing short of magical! You can walk around the rooftop, taking in the stunning details of the architecture and the sweeping skyline. And don’t forget to buy your tickets online in advance—it saves so much time!
2. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
Right next to the Duomo is the stunning Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a shopping haven that’s as much about the experience as it is about the shopping. Even if you’re not planning to splurge on Prada or Louis Vuitton, walking through this historic arcade is a must. The intricate mosaic floors, the massive glass dome, and the luxury stores make it feel like you’re in the middle of a fashion dream. Plus, it’s the perfect place to snap those “I’m in Milan” Instagram shots!
3. Navigli District
For a more laid-back experience, we ventured into the Navigli District, home to picturesque canals, trendy boutiques, and some of the best cafes. It’s the perfect spot for an evening out, especially if you want to experience the classic Milanese aperitivo by the water. The vibe here is much more relaxed, and the food? Let’s just say the pizza and gelato were life-changing!
4. Brera District
No trip to Milan is complete without a stroll through the Brera District. It’s Milan’s artistic soul, with cobblestone streets, charming cafes, and the incredible Pinacoteca di Brera art gallery. This district has a bohemian vibe that feels like a step back in time, and it’s ideal for those who want to dive into Milan’s rich art history.
5. The Game-Changer: Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour
One of the best decisions we made was grabbing a 3-day Hop-On Hop-Off bus pass for just €30. It’s an absolute steal and the best way to get around the city. The bus takes you to all the major sights. You can use this as your primary mode of transportation! Forget paying for public transport—just hop on the bus whenever you need to go somewhere. When you spot something worth exploring, hop off, take your time, and catch the next bus when you’re ready. We used this pass for all three days, and it made our trip so much smoother! Plus, sitting on the top deck gives you the best panoramic views of Milan. Don’t forget your headphones—there’s an audio guide that provides insights about each stop.

In the building, there are living room, study, bathroom and also the place for clothing. You can see a variety of old pieces with elegant design and beautiful details.
I really like the design of bathroom with window and light, and the design is very classic.

Visited this mall, Rinascente Milano at Milan, Italy which houses luxury and branded goods. The mall is surrounded by cathedrals and museums. As you can see, the architecture of the mall is just magnificent. This mall is favourite hotspot not just from foreigners but also for locals! Food is definitely on the pricier side.

Fantasy trip in Milan🇮🇹
Stepping into the Piazza del Duomo, I was immediately struck by the grandeur of Milan Cathedral, or the Duomo di Milano, as it towered above the square, an intricate masterpiece of Gothic architecture that has stood the test of time since its construction began in 1386. The spires, adorned with statues and carvings, seem to reach for the heavens, and at the highest point, the golden Madonnina glistens in the sun, a symbol of Milan's enduring spirit.
Approaching the cathedral, I marveled at the façade, which is a symphony of stone lacework, with over 3,400 statues and 135 spires creating a forest of marble figures that tell stories from the Bible, history, and mythology.
Upon entering, I was enveloped by a serene dimness, the light filtering through the vast stained glass windows casting a kaleidoscope of colors onto the stone floor. The sheer scale of the interior is awe-inspiring, with the nave stretching out seemingly endlessly, flanked by towering columns that support the high vaulted ceiling. Each column is a monolith of marble, intricately carved with figures and patterns, leading my eyes upward to the majestic height of the ceiling.
After exploring the main floor, I ascended to the rooftop terraces, a highlight of any visit to the Duomo. The climb was rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of Milan. Walking among the spires and buttresses, I felt as if I was in a marble forest, each spire adorned with statues and carvings that seemed to come to life against the backdrop of the Milanese skyline. From here, the city sprawled out in all directions, with modern skyscrapers juxtaposed against historical buildings, illustrating Milan’s unique blend of old and new. As I descended, the late afternoon sun began to cast a golden hue over the Piazza del Duomo. The square was alive with people – tourists marveling at the cathedral, locals going about their day, and street performers adding a lively soundtrack to the scene. I took a moment to sit on the steps of the cathedral, soaking in the atmosphere and reflecting on the centuries of history that this magnificent structure has witnessed. Leaving the Duomo, I felt a profound sense of awe and reverence.
The Milan Cathedral is not just a church; it is a testament to human creativity, faith, and perseverance. It stands as a beacon of Milan’s rich cultural heritage and is a must-visit for anyone seeking to understand the soul of this vibrant city.

A historic favor with the modern surroundings of Milano Cathedral never makes us boring for every season.
The Milan cathedral is the third largest cathedral of the world. The architecture of its design was impressive. We climbed up till to the top, the detail construction of each platform and statues are wonderful.
Apart from that, roll around the luxurious shopping area, watching the city view from the nearest restaurant floor was an incredible experience.

Milan Most Beautiful Cathedral
The Milan Cathedral is famous for being the third largest cathedral in the world, and the second largest cathedral in Europe. Just looking at it , this is such a beautiful creation! I got my ticket with the elevator from Getyourguide -there are several entrances so be sure to get there early and get to the correct one. As i do not want to climb the endless stairs I opted for the elevator option. Be sure to get your tickets earlier to avoid being sold out.
Be sure to head to the rooftop first, as it is the most mesmerizing rooftop terraces of the Duomo. I spent quite a bit of time here appreciating the whole architecture and of course took tonnes of photos of this beautiful cathedral! Is definitely one of its kind!
The intricate Gothic construction of the cathedral is best appreciated from above!
In addition to the details of the rooftop itself–which is truly the highlight–you’ll also be able to enjoy views out over the city, which show off just how modern much of Milan’s skyline is compared to Italy’s other most visited cities.
I have gotten the full access ticket-A full Duomo complex ticket also includes a visit to the Duomo Museum, which includes statues and artifacts that called the Duomo home in centuries past, and the Church of San Gottardo in Corte. Both sites are well worth visiting if you have time to work them into your Milan itinerary.#2024wish ##besttrip ##milan #italy

Lost in the centuries
In the heart of Milan, my journey through Duomo di Milano was a captivating blend of history, art, and breathtaking views. As I ascended the stairs to the terraces, the cityscape unfolded beneath me, a modern metropolis juxtaposed against the timeless beauty of the cathedral’s spires.

Each intricately carved figure seemed to breathe life into the stone, whispering stories of the artisans who had left their mark over the centuries. It was a tangible connection to the past, a living testament to the city’s rich history.
Reaching the terraces, the panoramic view was nothing short of enchanting. Milan stretched out in all directions, a vibrant canvas of life and culture. The juxtaposition of ancient architecture against the backdrop of a modern cityscape created a visual symphony that left me in awe.
Inside the cathedral, the play of sunlight through stained glass bathed the space in a kaleidoscope of colors. The air was filled with a sense of reverence as I wandered through the vast interior, marveling at the intricate details of the chapels and the soaring arches above.
Duomo di Milano was not merely a structure; it was an immersive experience that transcended time. Each step carried me through centuries of history. Imagine, they spent over 6 centuries to build it! 😍Each glance revealed the artistry of those who had contributed to its creation.
