A Fun Place for All Ages - LEGO House! 🧱🇩🇰
#2024mapped
If you’re a LEGO fan or just looking for a super fun, hands-on experience, LEGO House in Billund is something you absolutely shouldn’t miss! 🇩🇰 This place is the home of LEGO—where it all started (Billund is the birth place of LEGO!) —and the perfect place to unleash your creativity, no matter your age.
🧩 Interactive Zones for Everyone
The LEGO House is divided into 4 interactive zones, and trust me, it’s impossible to get bored here:
🔴 Red Zone: A creative free-for-all—build whatever comes to mind with an endless supply of LEGO bricks.
🚙 Blue Zone: Test your problem-solving skills through games and challenges.
🍀 Green Zone: Make your own stop-motion LEGO movie! It’s so fun setting up scenes and watching your mini film come together.
⭐️ Yellow Zone: Build and “bring to life” your creations, like LEGO fish that swim virtually in a giant digital aquarium.
🗿 Huge LEGO Sculptures to Admire
One of the highlights is seeing the massive LEGO sculptures scattered around, including the Tree of Creativity—a 15m tall masterpiece built with over 6 million bricks. It’s seriously impressive and makes you realize how limitless LEGO can be.
🍽️ Eat at Mini Chef Restaurant
This is not your usual lunch spot. At Mini Chef, you order your food using LEGO bricks and then watch robots “prepare” your meal. It’s so quirky and unique, and even the way your food is delivered feels like a LEGO experience!
🛍️ Shop Exclusive LEGO Sets
The LEGO House shop has limited-edition sets that you can only buy here. If you’re a collector or just want something special to remember your visit, this is the place to get it.
🧱 Endless Opportunities to Build
There are building stations everywhere—whether you want to construct tiny cars, skyscrapers, or your own little world, this is where you can let your imagination run wild.
⭐ Top Tips:
Book Ahead – The LEGO House gets busy, and pre-booking your tickets will save you the stress.
Plan 4-5 Hours – It’s easy to spend an entire day here, but give yourself at least half a day to explore.
Check the Shop – Even if you’re not a big LEGO collector, the exclusive sets are worth a look!
Visiting LEGO House in Billund feels like stepping straight into a LEGO world. It’s fun, interactive, and genuinely brings out the kid in you. A must-visit if you’re in Denmark!

Culinary Culture and Human Landscape of Denmark
Denmark boasts a vibrant culinary culture shaped by its agricultural heritage and coastal geography. Renowned for its farm-to-table philosophy, Danish cuisine emphasizes fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, which are pivotal in dishes like “smørrebrød,” an open-faced sandwich topped with various meats, fish, and vegetables. The New Nordic Cuisine movement has further elevated Danish food on the global stage, championing seasonal and sustainable practices.
The picturesque landscapes of Denmark, characterized by rolling hills, charming villages, and stunning coastlines, enhance the culinary experience. Dining in this serene environment, whether in a Michelin-starred restaurant or a cozy seaside eatery, allows visitors to savor not only the flavors but also the serene beauty of the region. Additionally, the warm hospitality of the Danish people adds to the enriching experience, making Denmark a delightful destination for those seeking to explore the intersection of culture, food, and stunning landscapes.
Copenhagen
It is the most livable city in the world and the capital of Denmark, the second happiest country in the world.
And it is also called a fairytale city.
Copenhagen, the capital and largest city of Denmark, is located in the east.
On the coast, opposite the area of Sweden.
And because Copenhagen is one of the oldest cities in Europe and is also considered the largest city in the Scandinavian region,
The population of the city is about 500,000 people.
And it is also the center of the country's administration,
Parliament, government and the location of the Royal Palace.
It is the residence of the Danish royal family.
But according to historical evidence, Copenhagen
was founded in 1710 by Bishop Absalon,
the religious and political leader of Denmark.
At that time, a new castle was built on the site of
Copenhagen and presented to King Valdemar I.
And brought prosperity from the original capital called
"Roskilde"
Until finally Copenhagen became the capital.
of the Kingdom of Denmark in 1959

Terrific one day Copenhagen itinerary
#100waysoftravel
Explore my day in Copenhagen, stayed at Next Copenhagen hostel if you are on budget. It’s is conveniently located in the centre of Copenhagen city centre.
Start off the day’s meal at sct. peders Bärgeri, with delicious varieties of pastry and bakery to choose from, and beautiful interior decorations as they got a few seats indoor for you to dine-in. Take a train towards Helsingør and explore Kronborg Castle, journey takes less than one and half hour. There are regular guided tour during the day, telling you about stories of castle. Alternatively, get the castle map and explore yourself from the self guides. You will need around one and half hours to explore the whole castle. Behind the castle, there is Kronborg beach where you may enjoy the sea breeze and part of Sweden view at opposite side. Stroll along the harbour and take the train back to Copenhagen towards Home of Carlsberg. You will need to book in advance for entrance slot and it is free entrance if you have your Copenhagen pass. Travel journey takes less one and half hour, so you may plan your itinerary accordingly. You will need to go ticket counter and receive a waist band for free beer or drink at the bar after you complete the tour. Tour will begin with Carlsberg family, history and how they acclaimed museums and the Carlsberg Research Laboratory. The tour estimates takes 1.5 hour to complete. You will walk through a little garden heading towards the bar, choose 1 of of 4 types of beer type, enjoy at their indoor seatings. As it is getting late, I travel back to København station for dinner at restaurant Smagsløget, they are popular with roasted pork sandwiches, delicious homemade Danish meatball, homemade traditional Danish roast pork as well as tasty potato salad to end the marvelous day. #copenhagen #castle #myitinerary #localfood #thingstodo #travel #denmark

Denmark | The must visit museum with the good vibe
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art
Gl Strandvej 13, 3050 Humlebæk, Denmark
Before heading to Copenhagen, all my friends highly recommended that I visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. It’s easily accessible from Copenhagen Central Station using the Copenhagen Card; the train ride takes about half an hour.
The museum is beautifully located by the water, with an exceptional spatial design. There are numerous contemporary art exhibits, and I especially loved the garden artworks that resemble galaxies, making you feel like you're experiencing global art from the universe.
After exploring the exhibitions, it's a great choice to relax in the restaurant, enjoying the sunshine and beautiful views!

Copenhagen | The brilliant hotel with nice interior design
Hotel SKT. Annæ
Sankt Annæ Pl. 18, 1250 Copenhagen, Denmark
💰£120 per night
I had long heard about the excellence of Nordic design, and this trip truly opened my eyes. The first hotel I stayed at in Copenhagen was Hotel SKT. Annæ, just a 5-minute walk from the famous Nyhavn. The location is excellent.
The interior design of the hotel is sophisticated and elegant, with seating at the entrance surrounded by lush greenery, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. On the ground floor, there's a dining area, as well as spaces for guests to enjoy a drink or get some work done.
There’s a fireplace, sofas, and when night falls, candles are lit, adding a cozy ambiance.
The rooms aren't particularly large but are well-designed, with a warm wood-tone style and brown bedside lamps. Opening the curtains, you can also get a view of the hotel's lobby. It’s a very comfortable stay.

So good it inspired Walt Disney!
This charming theme park has been around since 1843. You can stroll around the park and skip rides but there’s an entrance fee for that. You can then pay per ride which might be a cheaper option if you only want to do a couple rides. Great place to people watch and enjoy the gardens. #100waysoftravel #citybreakeurope #citybreakeurope #copenhagen #denmark
Copenhagen, Denmark
#100waysoftravel#copenhagen #denmark
Copenhagen was once a Viking fishing settlement, and you can still find traces of those roots. But beyond the remains of a 1,000-year-old castle, museums dedicated to the famous raiders, and narrow streets slotted between picturesque canals, you’ll find that Copenhagen is a thoroughly modern—even futuristic—city. The Danish capital is home to design-focused hotels and cutting-edge art galleries. Fourteen Michelin-star restaurants prove that Copenhagen is reinventing Scandinavian food. And yes, the crayon-colored houses of Nyhavn, whimsical Tivoli Gardens, and a 120-year-old mermaid statue still draw visitors during the long summer days that bring 20 hours of sunlight. Want to fill those long days with more recs? We have ‘em below.
Louisiana - art and nature together!
This museum itself is a piece of art!
Surrounded by nature you will find this art museum, located on the shore of the Øresund Sound and 45 minutes by train from København Central station, at a small city called Humlebæk.
There you can find an extensive collection of modern and contemporary art. On the outside, the seashore’s views and the sculptures creates this Ghibli-alike atmosphere which makes you feel connected with the world.
The museum is also acknowledged as a milestone in modern Danish architecture, and is noted for its synthesis of art, architecture, and landscape.
Price: around 140 dkk per person
Hope you enjoy it! It’s really worth visiting 😊

Long weekend in Copenhagen (an absolute must!)
In April 2023 I took a trip to Copenhagen, my first time visiting Denmark and in fact the Nordics. Out of all the European cities I've visited, this is my favourite!
Main 5 reasons to visit:
1. Amazing culture and history 🏰
2. Delicious Danish pastries 🥐
3. A welcoming and friendly community 🙂
4. Hundreds of attractions 🎡
5. Cheap to fly to ✈️
While in the Danish capital, you must visit Kastellet Fortress to get a glimpse of the historic culture Copenhagen has to offer. While in the area, The Little Mermaid is worth paying a visit; despite all the vandalism she's been through, she's survived to tell the tale to hundreds of tourists that visit every day.
You can't visit Denmark without visiting Sankt Peders Bageri, Copenhagen's oldest Danish bakery. I'd recommend a cinnamon roll.
For the budding photographer, The Round Tower is worth a journey for the panoramic view of the city. 📷
Copenhagen Zoo if you find time, is incredibly vast as well and it's very good value for money.
At night, the city comes to life with a busy atmosphere, buildings lighting up the sky and tourists lining the streets as they enjoy local food and drink.
Know before you go...
- Plan ahead for accommodation - hotels are expensive; while hostels offer great value for money.
- Card payments are the future in Denmark, I'd advise against exchanging cash.
- 3-4 days is about the right amount of time to enjoy what the city has to offer.
Enjoy! 🇩🇰 #copenhagen #denmark #europetrip #weekend #nordicvibes
Grundtvig’s Church… Take a look at the Expressionist church named
Another beautiful church that those who love to admire beautiful architecture should not miss is Grundvig’s Church in Copenhagen, Denmark. This church was named after philosopher and hymn composer N.F.S. Grundvig, with a design competition in 1913 and the winner being Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint, and construction was completed in 1940. The church was built in the Impressionism style, with the designer studying the architecture of various villages in Denmark and blending it together. The vertical Gothic lines make the church stand out and be as beautiful as we see it. Inside the church, there is a long hallway with beautiful natural light. If you plan to go, make sure to check the opening and closing times, because sometimes in the late afternoon the church holds ceremonies that may close earlier than usual. Photos and videos can be taken inside, but please be careful not to disturb the peace. How to get here There is a bus stop nearby, or you can use Uber/Taxi.
Time: 10.00 – 16.00 (Closed on Mon)

Explore the ancient port city of Europe, “Copenhagen”
🇩🇰 Today, we will explore one of the happiest cities with the best welfare state in the world for several years in a row. When I saw it for myself, I realized that there is no reason why this place is not recognized as one of the happiest countries. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is nice, the air quality is excellent, walking around the city feels safe, and the places are pleasant. Everything is really good. (However, traveling and moving here permanently are different and have different advantages and disadvantages. This post will tell you about a one-day trip in Copenhagen.)
🇩🇰 Of course, Copenhagen is an old port city in Europe and the Kingdom of Denmark. The first place to start is “Nyhavn Pier”. This pier has colorful buildings lined up along the pier, which is very cute. If anyone comes to Copenhagen, don't miss this check-in point. Because if you don't come, it's like you haven't been to Denmark. There are many photo spots in this area. But no matter which angle you take the picture from, it's all beautiful and cute.
🇩🇰 Walk for another 10 minutes and you'll find another place you can't miss, "Federik's Church". And at this point, not far away, we'll see the beauty of "Amalienborg Palace", which is considered a truly beautiful palace. There are many other interesting museums in this area. Today, we only have 1 day, so we can't visit them all. If anyone has enough time or is staying in Copenhagen for many days, you should visit them all. It's very interesting.
🇩🇰 Okay, since we have little time, we have to hurry to another landmark that we want to see, which is the "Little Mermaid statue", which is a statue that many tourists come to see because it is considered another symbol of Denmark. But because it is a prominent statue, the mermaid statue has been splashed with paint to demand rights from many groups of people. There is also a copyright drama. It can be said that being a beautiful person is really tiring.
🇩🇰 Let's continue to the next place without any drama. Just 500 meters away from the statue is “Kastellet”, a star-shaped fortress (you can see the cuteness of the star shape on the map app). The fortress is now open to the public for walking, sitting, and relaxing because the shady atmosphere here is truly perfect for relaxation.
🇩🇰 After walking around all day, it’s time to find something to eat! We walked back to “Strøget Street” because there are many restaurants to choose from. It’s also a shopping area with both famous brand shops and local shops for you to choose from. And for those who are cafe lovers, this is another must-see because there are many chic cafes that are nice to chill and have delicious desserts. I have to admit that the people here dress very well. It’s a style that makes the women look beautiful and the men handsome. Compared to other countries in Europe, the Danes we saw in Copenhagen all looked good. The view is amazing! 🤭
🇩🇰 After we were full, we had the energy to continue walking. We continued shopping for a while and then walked to “City Hall Square”, which is probably the busiest place in the city. Both Danes and foreigners are also very crowded. A little further from City Hall Square, we will find the very beautiful “Tivoli” amusement park. Both foreigners and Danes themselves flock here for excitement. 😙

📍 Copenhagen, Denmark
⛴️ Copenhagen is considered an old port city in Europe and the Kingdom of Denmark. And the port we will go to today is none other than the famous “Nyhavn Port”.
⛴️ This port has colorful buildings lined up along the port, which is unique. If anyone comes to Copenhagen, don't miss this check-in point. Because if you don't come, it's like you haven't come to Denmark.

New Year’s in Denmark! 🇩🇰
Copenhagen isn’t on top of everyone’s NYE list but it definitely should be!! Had one of my most memorable new years eve in Denmark with my friends ☺️🙏
My favourite place was Tivoli Gardens - it is the world’s second oldest amusement park. It is so magical that it even inspired Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale, Nightingale. Do not miss the unique New Year tradition here to watch the Queen’s speech and take a bite of the Danish traditional “kransekage” as the clock strikes 12!

Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen is a splendid time capsule of Danish royalty and Renaissance architecture. Stepping into this magnificent fortress, I was immediately transported to a bygone era of opulence and regal grandeur.

From the opulent throne room to the dazzling Crown Jewels on display in the basement vault, every corner tells a story of Denmark's illustrious past. The beautifully maintained gardens surrounding the castle are a serene retreat, perfect for a leisurely stroll.
What truly sets Rosenborg Castle apart is its immersive experience. It allows visitors to connect with Danish history and the lives of its monarchs.

Nyhavn canal side town 🍻🦐🦪⛴️
One of my favourite place to spent a day in the Nyhavn and surroundings. Locals and tourists come here to relax, eat and drink one of the restaurants lining the Nyhavn canal; sitting outside in the summer is wonderful and indoors in during the winter.
Here are roughly about 12 restaurants that serve fresh seafoods and coldest ale beers. 🍺
There are traditional Danish lunch and dinner served here: lovely burgers, fish & chips, lobsters 🦞 are all on the menu along with two mixed platters and a wide selection of smørrebrød with fillings including herring, eggs with shrimp and salmon.

Vækst Michelin Restaurant Copenhagen 💫
📍Vækst – a restaurant in the 2022 MICHELIN Guide Denmark. 💛
One of the best restaurants in Copenhagen I have ever dined in. Perfect dining experience in many ways; Warm and welcoming staff members and excellent quality of food. This place is very charming, set in two floors-ground floor and lower floor, cosy design, great atmosphere and the food is impeccable.
I first walked in, noticed that the kitchen is very efficient as the dishes kept coming out constantly. The food was delicious and I felt really full after the three courses with small bites, starters, main course and desserts with cocktails and a bottle of red wine 🍷 + .
As usual for Denmark, service was excellent, quick, friendly, polite and efficient. We ordered steak for main course which was done very well-rare to medium, afterwards we couldn’t help ourselves but try some lovely dessert, equally fantastic ✨
They have a solid wine list, we had good bottle of red wine called Octavin 👌

NENI Restaurant Copenhagen 🥗🍹
📍NENI Copenhagen Restaurant
Pilestræde 65, 1112 København, Denmark
NENI resturant is located in the 25 hours hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark. A quirky hotel once used to be a university, which is quite cool and historic. NENI Restaurant is spacious, very nicely designed and central, only steps away from the old town Copenhagen.
What we loved about? Menu was interesting and inspired by mediterranean, Persian and Austrian influences. We started with sharing portions of mezes such as homemade hummus, charcoal aubergine and grilled prawns which were tasty and decent portions. For mains, we all went for stone oven whole fish cooked with white wine sauce, capers, olives, fennel, tomatoes served in a hot cast iron pan. 🐟 Also salads as side fish, a few cocktails, then with mains a nice bottle of white wine, desserts at the end. Delicious and fresh food, well made and served with an attentive staff member. 🍷
Prices are reasonable, starters from 85 DKK and mains from 165. NENI signature cocktails from 115 and a glass of wine averages around 75 Danish Krone
