Trani, a small beautiful town, clean, with an aristocratic landscape, one of my favourite destinations to spend one day in Puglia, the South Eastern part of Italy. Trani has a beautiful port and sea coast very easy to reach ideal for romantic walk or to bring your family, kids and parents. The things to do in this town is to walk by the sea coast, where you will see the castle of the town, followed by gardens, church and a beautiful cathedral. Good food won’t miss! There will be plenty of choice for a meal, from local restaurants, fine dining to delicious street food. A must try is the black ink sandwich with octopus 🐙, which is the signature dish of the town. I recommend also as best wines to select in the restaurant to just try the local wine which is what all people from the town drink, with affordable price and great quality! Getting There - best comfortable way is to drive by car, but I also visit the place by train, you can go by the regional train and Once you arrive to Trani station, it will be half hour walk to reach the sea coast. Public transportation will be poor, but the city is not so big, if you like walk, it’s very enjoyable tour. Attractions - Sea coast, seafood, castle and cathedral. Monopoli is a small and clean town, mostly with white color buildings on the Apulia sea coast not fare from Bari, the principal airport of Puglia region in south east of Italy. It is beautiful to have a walk to the city Center, where you will see many beautiful antique buildings, blue boats on the coast and delicious seafood restaurants. beaches in Monopoli are extremely clean with transparent and cristalline water. Not so much to see for snorkelling, but beautiful to enjoy a day on the beach with incredible landscapes and a nice walk in the town. TAMBURELLISTI DI TORREPADULI is the soul of Taranta Music the most famous "tamburelli" playing number since ever. Among these villages we are fascinated by Ruffano, a somewhat deserted country in the center of Italy’s heel, in the low Salento. One of the peculiarities that immediately jump to the eye of the land where the country rises is the “serre”, a sort of little hills. The same village is not as flat as most of the Salento’s centers but it is inert on one of them, as it is visible as if it were a thick coat of arms, it is the one to the right of the village bordered by a holm oaks and oak forest. Products related to tradition are also tambourines. In the hamlet of Torrepaduli, the kingdom of Pizzica, master Rocco Luca builds his instruments, the famous Tamburelli of Torrepaduli. Produced entirely in handicrafts with kid’s or bigger ones, goat’s. The frames are made of beech wood and treated only with natural oils. And those are the ones played by “The Tamburellists of the Torrepaduli”, the group set up by Rocco in the late 1980s and soon became famous, not only in Salento. Bari - Puglia This amazing city over the Mediterranean sea has something magic that can’t be explained. The down town, means the old part of the city is something really timeless. All the matron are on the street making orecchiette this typical type of pasta. you can buy it straight from them, you can see how the make it and have it right away. people are friendly and very very funny. you have to try the focaccia which is absolutely a must in Bari. and their beer is the Peroni. very good and fresh blond beer. loved this place. the airport is well connected to the city center and also the main train station has a quick transfer to the city center. #spooktaculartrip #tripblazers #fallingforfall #puglia #italy #bari

This beautiful bed and breakfast located in the small town of Bitonto is called the Palazzo Antica Via Appia. The owner is an antique collector and so the place is beautifully decorated with antiques alongside wonderfully restored rooms with antique elements including a painted ceiling. It almost feels like you’re staying in a museum. Housed in a 19th century building and built on the ruins of the Appia Way, you can’t help but being transported back in time when staying here. The rooms were clean and have that Old World luxurious feeling. Our room is called Conte Gentile. Bonus points? As part of a larger tour I made across Puglia a couple years ago, I had to stop by Ostuni. Ostuni is a unique town that resembles a bright cap rising up right from the flat plains near the southern coast of Italy. Its whitewashed defensive walls and houses in the old town with many winding streets, steps and beautifully decorated, colorful window frames can make you think you're somewhere in Greece. Also known as “The White City”, because of the white lime tones of its historic center, Ostuni stands on a 600-feet hill overlooking the nearby Adriatic coastline and I must say that Mediterranean vibes ooze from every corner and every alley. You could definitely spend an entire morning or afternoon wandering around and cherishing the slow life of Apulian people, making pasta or putting laundry out to dry. Details of its ancient past, baroque and medieval, can be found everywhere across the city in churches and old palaces. Puglia (Apulia in English) holds a special place in my heart. White is the dominant tone here, and you’ll find yourself in a constant summer mood all year long. Like most of Italy, you’ll see that there’s no shortage of Unesco sites here, and Alberobello is one of them. This town is famous for its “trulli”, ancient round houses made of stone with a conical roof. While you can find them everywhere driving in the countryside amid seas of olive trees, the ones in Alberobello are the most famous and colourful ones. Walking throughout the village you’ll find small shops with handcrafted products and souvenirs, plus delicious local products like “tarallucci”, “orecchiette”, and olive oil (probably the best olive oil you’ll ever taste in your life, as Puglia is home to more than a billion olive trees!). Visited this lovely spot twice on the same day. This is like a hidden but not really hidden spot. Lovely for families with kids as same area waters are really low for sand play. Best time to come is just before sunset, you would have the whole places for yourself. Very handy if you have water shoes as it is a rocky beach. Torre Cintola is surrounded by ruins of a 16th-century coastal watchtower that creates unique waterways at this scenic beach. Torre Cintola sea coast is located in Puglia, in the Capitolo locality of Monopoli, in an exclusive area lying on the rocky coast embraced by two coves with crystalline waters. Monopoli is a town located about 40 km from the airports of Bari and Brindisi. It represents, on the Adriatic, one of the most active and populous ports in the region, famous for its characteristic historic center of early medieval origin which, superimposed on the remains of a Messapian fortified settlement already in the 5th century BC, overlooks the sea surrounded by high walls. #beach #sea #puglia
