The food prices are on the higher side, and their coffee is okay. The smoked duck sandwich stood out with a generous amount of duck that complemented the thick bread well. Over the weekends there tends to be a que. The last time we attempted to have lunch here, it was so crowded that we gave up on queuing.
This time, we came for a late afternoon eat instead and tried their brunch options. The pandan pancake smelled incredible, and eating it with gula melaka, shredded coconut, and ice cream was a real treat. I’ll definitely come back to try their mains.

Mamee is no stranger to locals who have grown up eating the noodles, mostly as a snack. It’s part of our early childhood days and now we got to relive those memories by visiting the first ever open concept store in the heart of the historic city of Melaka where Mamee started their first manufacturing of the product.
The store has a wide varieties of iconic noodles (even chef version) and chips. The main highlight is the DIY souvenir cup which you can color and then bring it to the counter to choose your fav seasonings and they will pack it for you to take as souvenir.
The walls are adorned with noodles and this activity seems to be popular with families who can spend quality time with their kids.

Fomecs Boutique Hotel is located right at the end of Jonker Street Night market. You can start from here to the start of the market to eat all the good foods. The room was compact and nice with basic amenities like tea, toothbrush set, shaving kit, shower cap, soap, kettle, hair dryer etc but there is no mini bridge in the room The only con is there’s no lift but it’s only 2 flights of stairs so it should be okay.

Green Environment Nice place enjoying coffee @The Baboon House
This place is located at jonker street area and it's a really nice place for taking photos ☺️and sitting down chill with some drinks.
I order some drinks that sound like they sound cool Shakerako (means ice espresso) Normally i won't drink ice coffee but in the melaka the weather is super hot until i need some cold drink to cold down my body.
Other than that I also order some coconut ice cream for my kids, this ice cream is a lot of things at the top which I do not really like , those who like nuts or coconut shredded maybe you will enjoy it.
Ginger lemon beer taste it's so ginger if you do not pour on the ice cup. It's got Abit alcoholic inside.
So Muslim cannot order this.

Camping Fun Day at Tam’s Durian Farm & Campsite, Melaka
#campingfun
This is my second time visiting Tam’s Durian Farm & Campsite in Melaka, and it was just as great as before! The place is perfect for a relaxing weekend away in nature.
One thing I love about this campsite is the price—it’s really reasonable. The best part is that the camp is already set up for you, so there’s no need to worry about bringing your own tent or equipment. Just show up and enjoy!
They provide food with lots of options, and it’s served buffet style, so you can take as much as you want. Everything tasted really good, and it was nice not to worry about cooking during the trip.
The toilets are shared, but they are kept clean, which is always important when camping.
At night, there’s even a live band! It made the evening really fun, sitting around the campfire, listening to music, and enjoying the fresh air.
Overall, I had a wonderful time again at Tam’s Durian Farm & Campsite and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, fun camping experience in Melaka.

Melaka’s Famous Signature Dish - Chicken Rice Ball
#eatlikealocal #chickenriceball #malacca #melaka
When you’re in Malacca (Melaka, Malaysia’s Heritage city), the first thing you should try is the chicken rice ball. There’s a story behind how dish became popular with fishermen who had no time to eat because time was money and had to have food that was easily available so they can gobble it up while they hurried to work.
A wife of a Melakan fisherman who was detained and had to earn money for herself sold chicken rice at the port and quickly realized the potential sales of chicken rice balls if the shape of Chicken rice balls were made into compact bite sized pieces. This proved practical for these fishermen and were quickly popular.

Experience a culturally diverse heritage
Melaka is certainly a very unique place. The local people of Melaka embrace their significant heritage as not only were there Malaysians at the time in history but also Dutch and Portuguese migrants.
The architectural beauty still available today and various foods available is an eye-opening experience. Many of the people that passed on during their settlement in Melaka can still be visited at their tombs in the city grave yard and on the hill. What’s so beautiful about it is that their memory lives on and the area is being maintained to generations to learn from and enjoy!

A full day in Melaka!
#100waysoftravel
Take a wall-mural canal cruise through the city of Melaka! The hand painted arts are incredibly done! Each building is painted in a different style or portrays a different message or theme. These buildings often are the locations of restaurants or coffee shops. The canal is situated next to China town that is a few minutes’ walk from the pier.
Afterwards, take a trip to the coast where you can see a unique sight of the seaside Mosque. White as snow during the day and beautifully lit up at night, it is a have-to-visit location!
🎟️Tips: Check the opening times of the mosque as it is closed for some hours for religious practices and tourists are not permitted to enter.
