During this trip the arctic weather was quite an experience with beautiful white powdery snow! it was a challenge to catch the northern lights due to the clouds but in the end we were successful! The activities and tours, visiting reindeer, Sommaroy island and petting the Alaskan huskies. The first thing to do when you arrive in the famous city of Tromso is to take the Fjellheisen cable car up to the top. I guarantee that you will see the beauty of both sides of the city clearly. For those who come during the Northern Lights, I recommend taking the cable car at night because the cable car opens from 10:00 to 23:30. I guarantee that if the weather is good, you will definitely see the Northern Lights 100% here. But the most important thing is to check the KP, the Northern Lights value, and the clouds to see if they will be blocked via the Aurora app. Most importantly, don't forget to pay the parking fee. There are no officers here to collect money. Download the parking app or look for a parking payment machine throughout Norway. Otherwise, the car rental company will charge you the fare. #celebratewithtrip Absolutely amazing views! This is a must do when you're here in tromsø!! It may be a little pricey but I promise it is well worth the views especially in winter time with the snow! It was snowing when we visited. The mountains are all covered with snow. At the top there is a restaurant with coffee and tea. Also a very nice view from the cafe if you want to take a break. Absolutely brilliant. Well worth a visit, and the views are spectacular. #norway #tromso

#celebratewithtrip We didn’t really go inside the church as it was closed, just saw it while taking a walk. This cathedral is notable since it is the only Norwegian cathedral made of wood. The yellow, wooden cathedral was built in a long church format and in the Gothic Revival style in 1861 by the architect Christian Heinrich Grosch. The church tower and main entrance are on the west front. It is probably the northernmost Protestant cathedral in the world. With over 600 seats, it is one of Norway's biggest wooden churches. It originally held about 984 seats, but many benches and seats have been removed over the years to make room for tables in the back of the church. #tromso #norway

Walked over the Tromsø bridge and it was definitely a fun walk and exciting to see the close getting closer and close as you battled the wind to get there. You can easily locate it from Fjellheisen too. For a place designed and built in the '60s, the cathedral looks very modern and clean. Such a joy to visit this incredible cathedral. #tromso #norway

During my 5 day stay in Tromsø I was able to see the Northern Lights, tour the city, go to museums, eat traditional food, go boating in the fjords and take a cable car up a mountain to see the sun sets over the city. I slept in a not very expensive but very comfortable hotel which offers breakfast. This is the Smarthotel Tromsø hotel. For activities such as boating, it is advisable to book in advance.
