This was my first time in Rome and I highly recommend going to Sistine Chapel and the Colosseum. We started our day around 11am and managed to visit both places leisurely by 5pm. We got our tickets online but I think you can buy at the counter dependent if you are going during peak season. I went in August so it was definitely very busy. The tickets were roughly 60euros for entry to both places. Also it’s not featured in the pictures but I highly recommend you to visit near Trevi Fountain where there are many delicious and affordable sandwich shops around. #italy #rome #summer #Sistinechapel #colosseum

Headed to Nimes, France during a weekend. It was truly a hidden gem in the South of France, just a short bus or train from Marseille or Avignon. We visited the large Arènes de Nimes, a well preserved Roman Colosseum (way less destroyed than in Rome, but not as massive in size) It was a fun walk around the place, and it came with a map and audio tour as well. You can even play an escape game around! Ticket entry was pretty cheap too! 10/10 would recommend #southoffrance #nîmes #colosseum

Most memorable moment: Returning to Piccadilly Roma after the Roma vs Geneva football game. We hadn’t booked a room for the night nor anticipated the amazing city becoming 99% booked upon our return. Just when we thought we were going to have to drive a minimum of 45 minutes to find a place to stay, the owner of Piccadilly Roma gave us the most pleasant surprise. He offered us two affordable rooms remaining at his hotel barely two blocks away. He didn’t stop there though. He offered to walk us to the hotel to be sure we would be satisfied and sold us a bottle of incredible red wine from his restaurant, which he opened for us to enjoy in our rooms as the restaurant was closing. If you are in Rome, you will definitely will want to visit Colosseum, the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built. It was truly an experience to witness something historic. I went there a few times during my stay there. The first time was to take some photos outside Colosseum. The second time was during the night as I wanted to capture some night shots. The third time was for the tour to visit the inside of Colosseum. I felt really blessed that I can get to visit a World Heritage Site in Italy.
