Angkor Wat on a buget!
#temples #cambodia #siemreap #freeattraction #savemoney #historicallandmarks #angkorwattemple 💰On any given day, the average price per person is $35 to enter the main temple. This grants you access for the whole day, basically. And I'm sure it's totally worth it. The acres and hectars that directly surround Angkor Wat temple were and still are part of it, and you find probably 10+ (I stand to be corrected) smaller temples with the same characteristics and historic cultural accents. You will still have a great experience, and you'll still leave with breathing photos for less than $10 for 3-4 people that will be in a tuk tuk. I would advise you to use one of the tuk tuk drivers from the Angkor Wat area as they would be familiar with where to find these smaller surrounding temples and structures. These were my favorite pics of that day
💞Reasons to Recommend:
1. Cost effective
2. Cultural experience
3. Satisfaction levels acheaved (according to friends of that did both Angkor Wat and surrounding structures
🏖️BAmbiance/Facilities:
1. There are mobile shops in random places in almost every street you turn into, so snacks and cold drinks like filtered water and sodas / juices should be available.

Trekking Day At Doi Inthanon National Park (Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail) ⛰️🍃
#hikingtrails
Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail is a must-do hiking and trekking trail not to be missed by nature lovers. It is located inside the area of Doi Inthanon National Park, home to Thailand’s highest peak.
Doi Inthanon is one of the most popular national parks in Thailand. It is famous for its waterfalls, few trails, remote villages, viewpoints, sunrise/sunset watching, birdwatching and the all year round cold weather on higher elevations. The main park entrance is about 70 km southwest from Chiang Mai city center.
This time i want to hike to Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail. Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail itself is a Natural Study trek on Doi Inthanon National Park starts from Km. 42.
The trail sits at 2,200 meters above sea level, just a few hundred meters below Thailand’s highest peak (2,565 meters). Take note that Doi Inthanon National Park is opened all year but Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail is closed from June to October i.e. the raining season.

Worlds most famous Church
Located near the Latin quarter, Notre Dame of Paris is not only amongst the most popular churches in the world but it happens to be in the world's most popular city, Paris. It's got these two huge towers that were symbolic of Paris, before Eiffel tower came in existence and stole all the show.
I'll tell you how important it was because it was the very venue of nepoleon's coronation ceremony. If the sight of the Notre Dame looks familiar to you, it's probably because it is very popular and if you were at the Louvre earlier, you must have seen a famous painting of it. It has been shut since the fire a few years ago. But from a distance and from outside it continues to be glorious.

The South End of this Temple Site is all Monks Accommodation but interesting to walk through. The North End has two beautiful Temple Buildings, both well worth visiting. One is aligned North-South and the other East-West.
I was really impressed with the murals which cover every inch of the wall space inside the Temples, real works of art. The grounds are paved with no natural shade or seating areas, some construction work going on there currently but not on the two main buildings.

Royal Ruins of the past!
This residence was historically used by various Kings of Ayuttahaya as a temporary camp. The temple’s architectural design is an imitation of a kingdom in Cambodia.
Today the structure remains but, on the passages surrounding the main square, there is only one statue remaining.
📸Taking a photo from below, it is a remarkable contour that fills the lens!
💡Tips: It is best to visit the temple on a day with less clouds for the best photos!
👼The temple still has active services for the religious and its best to be conscious of the people in prayer wen taking photos.

It's quite tourist friendly with the multiple languages on the panels, and even braille too! Would say it's quite inclusive because there are ramps for those who may come in on wheelchairs too.
Really beautiful temple, and the scorching sun further enhances the brightness of the white temple. Marble flooring is beautiful, and there is a giant Buddha in one of the rooms with really intricate stained glass windows.
The marble flooring gets EXCEPTIONALLY hot when you're taking photos outside in the sun barefooted. So, do be careful because I scalded the soles of my feet for a 20-second photo session. 🥲 Otherwise, you can marvel the architecture from afar!

While there are several mosques in Istanbul. The popularity and number of visitors everyday takes away any peace from the process of visiting a mosque. The sulemaniye mosque has all the popular elements of Turkish architecture, good location and vibe. With the added benefit of less crowd. Most mosques in Istanbul bar visitors during the hour of prayer service.
So i waited for the mosque to open up again to visitors. That could be why it felt so empty. But it is a very well maintained mosque. Women need to cover and free coverings/scarfs will be provided at the entrance. The views from the mosque complex are also incredible, offering a panoramic vista of the city and the Bosphorus. If visiting a mosque interest you and you wish to not que up or deal with the hassle of crowds. A cathedral made from Bricks

Visiting the gorgeous cathedral of Saint cecile was the most memorable experience of a day trip to Albi. It's a small medieval town with a bridge and a river running through it. While there are a handful of other sights to explore including the likes of museum, palace and riverside pathway. I found the cathedral to be the heart of tourist interest in Albi.
It's a French gothic Cathedral that is made from bricks. That has a certain charm to it. And I'm even told that it happens to be the world's largest brick cathedral. It has beautiful windows and carvings. The paintings on the ceilings are stunning. There is even an organ instrument inside. It must be an active place of worship. If you are looking for what not to miss in albi, the cathedral will be it. Here is a tip, the river side path. That walk is an absolute gem too.
