Gothic mix architecture and history
The Christ Church Cathedral and Slave Trade Exhibition in Zanzibar is a poignant and historically significant site located in Stone Town, Zanzibar. The cathedral, built between 1873 and 1880, stands on the site of the former largest slave market in East Africa. It was constructed by the Anglican Church to commemorate the end of the slave trade in Zanzibar. The high altar of the church is positioned directly above the site of the old slave market's whipping post, symbolizing redemption and the triumph of humanity over the atrocities of slavery.HistoricThe exhibition provides an in-depth look at the history of the East African slave trade, which thrived from the 17th to the late 19th centuries. Zanzibar was a major hub, with thousands of enslaved Africans being sold and transported to various parts of the world. #Zanzibar #trip #Holiday #travel #Africa #Tanzania

Bagamoyo: where the past and future dances
📍: Bagamoyo
Venturing into Tanzania, let's explore Bagamoyo, a town whose name translates to "Lay down your heart" in Kiswahili…
Learning about its role as the final stop for slaves before their journey to Zanzibar and beyond during the East African slave trade evoked strong emotions in me. Did I not cry like a baby while walking through to town?! Omg
Established in the 8th century by people of Persian descent, Bagamoyo evolved into a bustling port and trading port - welcoming diverse communities including Arabs, Indians and Chinese before being colonised by Germany in the 18th century.
The Kaole Ruins house a small museum displaying artefacts of Chinese origin - shedding light on ancient commercial ties. The site also features a magic well and several tombs.
Frame 5: One oldest mosques in Tanzania and East Africa - believed to date back to the 13th century.
Frame 6: Sharifa's Tomb - ssociated with a girl believed to possess healing abilities and the gift of dream interpretation.

bye bye Mount Kilimanjaro!
last night on the mountain. Barafu Camp (4673m) to High Camp (3950m)
after the summit attack, we had the chance to hang out and took a 2 hour break only in the tent. we ate and had a quick nap while also packing our stuff and equipment.
the porters were also busy packing up the tents and ready to put our stuff on their back. shortly after that, we soldiered down (1h 26m) to the last camp (High Camp) for a night. it was so cold and misty all the way. it was our last night and last sleep on the Kilimanjaro. it was quite a relief to be thinking about that because i dont think we would want to face another coldness on the mountain. but i still wish i can explore other parts of the mountain tracks

Day 3 safari: Serengeti National Park
another 8 hour trip exploring one of the greatest wilderness area; Serengeti National Park (14,750 km²). said to be the habitat of 500 species of birds & 300 species of mammals
we are still not lucky to witness the National Geographic kinda action of animals chasing & feasting each other. but we spotted leopard, simba, pumba the wild hog, more zebras, giraffe and more animals
The Serengeti is one of those places I dreamt of visiting and happily, it more than lived up to my expectations. Unfortunately we didnt get to witness the world’s greatest natural spectacles: the annual migration.

Serengeti National Park
Chances are that you have dreamt of Africa, and when you did, you probably dreamt about the Serengeti. Countless wildlife movies have been recorded in the Serengeti, and with good reason: this is the home of the Great Migration and may very well be one of the last true natural wonders on planet earth.
Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife: over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopard, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species inhabit an area close to 15,000 square kilometers in size. Join us on a safari and explore the endless Serengeti plains dotted with trees and kopjes from which majestic lions control their kingdom; gaze upon the Great Migration in awe or find an elusive leopard in a riverine forest. Or perhaps see everything from a bird’s-eye view and soar over the plains at sunrise during a hot air balloon safari. Accommodation options come in every price range - the sound of lions roaring at night is complimentary.

Zanzibar i
Zanzibar is one of my favourite African destinations.
It is a slice of paradise indeed and its famous for its beautiful white sand beaches, turquoise water and rich local culture.
The East coast serves some of the best views on the island and this is where the best hotels are located.
My favourite ones were Upendo and Zanziblue.
The incredibly chilled vibe of both places made my trip even more enjoyable. We avoided staying in big resorts while in Zanzibar, and instead picked beach guest houses serving some of the best local food.
One of the top things to do on the island is visiting the Tortoise sanctuary. This was definitely a highlight for me! #zanzibar #tanzania

KILIMANJARO CLIMB 6 DAYS MARANGU
Marangu route also known as “Coca-Cola” route approaches Kilimanjaro from the southeast of the Mountain. It is the oldest established route. Many favor the Marangu Route because it is considered to be the easiest route on the mountain. The minimum days required for this route is five, although the probability of successfully reaching the top in that time is a bit low. Spending an extra acclimatization day on the mountain is highly recommended, maximizing the chance of reaching to the summit. Marangu is the only route which offers sleeping huts in dormitory style accommodations.
