Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Moscow
Location: Volkhonka Street, 15, Moscow
Founder: Emperor Alexander I
The author of the project: Konstantin Ton
Entrance fee: free
The Cathedral of Christ the Savior is the cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church, located in Moscow on Volkhonke Street. The existing structure, built in the 1990s, is a recreation of the temple of the same name, destroyed in 1931 by the Soviet Union.

Moscow, Russia
#100waysoftravel #moscow #russia
Moscow is the largest city and capital of Russia. An iconic, global city, and as the largest European metropolis, Moscow has played a central role in the development of Russia and the world. For many, the sight of the Kremlin complex in the centre of the city is still loaded with symbolism and history. Moscow was the capital of the former Soviet Union and signs of its previous life are still very visible. Yet, there is more to Russia and its capital than just memories of the USSR. Architectural gems from the time of the Russian Empire are still dotted throughout Moscow, whilst signs of modern Tsars (or at least people with similar levels of wealth) abound. During the recent years the city underwent major renovations and now it is one of the most modern European cities.
Stunning night view of Moscow
As darkness falls, Moscow turns into a fascinating fabric of light and history. The historical architectures along the Moscow River create a visual feast.
However, it is not only the architecture that fascinates visitors; It is a vibrant energy in the streets. From crowded streets to cozy streets, Moscow's neighborhoods come alive after dark. Patriarch Pond and Arbat Street are one of the most famous places among them. I recommend you to witness the night view of Moscow as it offers a fascinating glimpse into the heart and soul of this extraordinary city.

Christmas & Countdown ที่ตลาดคริสต์มาสมอสโก 🇷🇺
When traveling to Russia, let's experience the cold to the max ❄️ And what you can't miss is the Christmas market held on Red Square near the Candy Church. There were so many people in the event. Everyone was smiling and nice, like real friends who came to have fun 😊
Before countdown, there were many activities to enjoy all night long, such as shows, walking and eating. I'd like you to try the churros, it's so awesome!!! I've been there twice. Eating something warm in sub-zero temperatures is so good for the heart 💕
The year we went to countdown, they let us ride the Metro home for free. Of course, there were a lot of people, but it was an experience that even going once wasn't enough. I want to go again and again. ☃️🎉

Red Square in Moscow
Red Square is the main square in Moscow, located between the Moscow Kremlin and Kitay-Gorod. Total length — 330 meters, width — 75 meters, area — 24,750 m2. Nearest metro stations: Okhotny Ryad, Teatralnaya, Revolution Square and Kitay-Gorod. Every time I come to Moscow I go to the Red Square. Every time it impresses me like the first time. It looks amazing both during day light and at night. Since ancient times, the square has served as a place of bargaining, where temporary and permanent shopping malls were built for many centuries in a row. In Soviet times, military parades and demonstrations took place on the square, after the USSR collapsed it began to be used for public events and concerts. #trip #redsquare #moscow
Your best choice in Moscow - Radisson Slavyanskaya!

The Radisson Hotel is conveniently located at Kievskaya Metro Station, just a 5-minute walk from it. There is also a bridge over the Moskva River, Kievsky railway station and the European shopping Center. Location is really the best! The second thing that impressed me a lot was their buffet breakfast: freshly baked pancakes and caviar were amazing! Also their spa area: swimming pool, whirlpool and sauna. Highly recommend and definitely coming back next time!

Moscow Never Sleeps
Moscow one of the quit unusual destinations for many people where you can find old architecture from USSR and modern Skyscrapers.
Day time or Night time you can always find things to do like museums, shops, bars, clubs and etc.
To more experience the culture try to use public transport like subway with unique architecture.
Taxi quit easy to catch but probably you’ll be stuck in long hour traffic jams. Additionally people in Moscow not quit welcome. Service in banks could be better.
Overall it’s good place to visit.

💚 The Arbat
🚇 Arbatskaya subway station, line 3 and 4.
The street is close to the Ministry of foreign affairs. (I will do a post about it).
It’s a pedestrian street about one kilometer long in the historical centre of Moscow, Russia. It forms the heart of the Arbat District of Moscow. Originally the street formed part of an important trade-route and was home to many craftsmen.
🛍 There are shopping malls, stores and restaurants down the street. You can take a long, enjoyable walk and visits to The Memorial apartment of Al. Pushkin, or The museum of wax figures.

Moscow-city 🏙
🚇 Vystavochnaya line 4.
🛍 There are shopping malls and restaurants around. Also a cruise 🚢.
❗️Moscow city has unique atmosphere. It has two sides, old style city, streets full of communism (haha 😁) and the other side is Moscow-city modern part.
For me the old style always wins. But at the same time exploring all the sides of the city has its beauty.

A unique mall 🛍
📍 It is located in Red Square. There are also entrances from Nikolskaya street.
❗️It opened in the heart of Red Square in Moscow in 1893 and today includes luxury shops such as Louis Vuitton and Prada, as well as a beloved 1950s-style shop selling gourmet food items, wine, chocolate, and classic Soviet products.
The store has unique architectural and different atmosphere. It’s one of the biggest malls in Russia.

🕑 It’s open till very late night and also has late night DJ shows.
🍔 You can finding many different cousins starting from Japanese to Mexican. It’s impossible to enter to this food gastromarket and leave hungry. 😁
You can have dishes, sweets, drinks.

More red ♥️
❗️Red Square is the largest and most famous square in Russia. It has a magnetic pull for all visitors to Moscow. Standing in Red Square, you can see the most significant buildings in the capital: the Kremlin, GUM department store, the State History Museum, Lenin's Mausoleum, and of course, St Basil's Cathedral.
The place was named “Red square” for its loveliness: Krasnaya, or “red,” meant “beautiful” in old Russian. The plaza has drawn crowds since it was a 1400s shantytown.

Visit the amazing Strogino
Strogino is a district in north-western Moscow, it is famous for its parks along the Moscow river.
🚊 Getting there - To get there you can take Moscow subway to the Strogino station and walk towards the Moscow river.
Attractions - Strogino Park is great to visit if you want to be in a quiet area far from the busy city center surrounded by trees and the Moscow River without going out of town. You can really feel like you’re in a forest in the Strogino Park.
Strogino Park offers a lot of small hills as well as jogging path.
But of course the main attraction of Strogino is its wakeboarding club. There is a properly set up wakeboarding center where you can book lessons or just rent a boat to pull you on your board along the Moscow river. There is also a mechanical string that can pull you in a circle while you jump over things and do tricks.
During windy days you can also windsurf on the Moscow River.
During hot summer days you can rest by the river and swim, during cold winter days you can enjoy the magical winter wonderland.
Enjoy your trip to Strogino 😊
