As I slowly ascended on the chairlift, my excitement grew with the increasing altitude. Upon reaching the summit, the view before me was breathtaking. In the distance, Mount Fuji stood like a silent guardian on the horizon, its snow-capped peak glistening in the sunlight, as if telling me stories of a thousand years. At that moment, I felt a profound connection with nature, and all my worries seemed insignificant in the face of such magnificent scenery. I started my journey from the 'Izu-Kogen' station on the Izu Kyuko Line, took the Izu Tokai Bus for about 20 minutes to the 'Cactus Park,' and then walked a short distance to the entrance of Mount Omuro. The convenience of transportation allowed me to focus more on this spiritual journey, reflecting on the meaning of life amidst the spectacular natural scenery. Standing on this land, gazing at the majestic Mount Fuji, I reflected on my own life. Life is like this mountain, with its peaks and valleys, and it is these ups and downs that shape our stories. Perhaps, when we feel lost in the valleys, we should learn to pause and appreciate the scenery along the way, for in each climb, we are learning and growing. The 'Crater Tour' of Mount Omuro allowed me to experience the power of nature. The trail around the crater offered stunning views that made me appreciate the beauty of life. I stayed at the Izu Imai Hama Tokyu Hotel in Shizuoka Prefecture, Izu. The hotel is very spacious, not just the rooms, so I took a walk around the premises 🚶♀️. In addition to bars and restaurants, the hotel also has a pool, a children's play area, and a library, making it a great spot to enjoy even without leaving the hotel! The beach is right in front of the hotel, making it an ideal destination for a summer vacation with kids 🌻. I went to Shimoda Park in Izu Shimoda, Shizuoka Prefecture to see the hydrangeas☔️ There are quite a few slopes in the park, but as I climbed up, I found colorful hydrangeas in bloom! I went there on a Saturday, and there were a lot of customers, and there were a lot of people around the water basin on the observation deck. I was hungry, so I ordered udon at "Katsuragi Saryo", which a friend recommended as delicious. It was also crowded, but I was able to enter the restaurant in about 15 minutes. Starting from Little Qilai, we descended to around 4k, then began the climb to the vicinity of 6.3k to camp. We started at 10.30am and arrived around 6pm. Then the next day, we continued to climb to Qilai North Peak, which took about 3 hours round trip, and then it started pouring rain! The path on Qilai from 4k to 6.3k is really tough, with inclines of around 80 degrees. People without rigorous training should not attempt this lightly!

With Suruga Bay right in front of you, you'll be greeted by a small heart-shaped window as you enter the entrance. The corridors are all tatami mats. You'll be taken to a lounge overlooking the majestic Suruga Bay and be served a welcome drink (wine or tea). Hana dolls and hanging dolls are displayed next to the lounge, and the view from the bar counter is amazing.
