This restaurant is called “Santa’s Salmon Place” and it is a shop that only sells salmon set meals! This set meal includes potato salad, a piece of bread, and a large salmon! I think this salmon is the best grilled salmon I have ever eaten. There is a central stove in the store, which uses wood fire to cook it. With the salmon fat, it is simply top-notch! In addition, you can also order hot blueberry juice and drink it in winter, which will immediately fill you with a warm feeling! Unique Nordic Style Coffee Shop in Rovaniemi! Excellent Food and Ambiance!

This time, I traveled to Rovaniemi, Finland, and visited a very special coffee shop called 'Coffee House'! This coffee shop is located in the city center and has a very Nordic style environment with different areas for customers to relax and dine! They sell a variety of breads, desserts, and drinks! For example, I ordered a mango cheesecake and hot chocolate. This coffee shop is a great choice for a leisurely time, perfect for warming up in the winter!

#thingstodo Rovaniemi is one of my favourite city in Europe and this place is also one of the best city in Finland. In the recent trip being Rovaniemi, I have explored around the Arctic circle point and visited the Santa Claus village and even the husky village. The Santa Claus village has an office inside and you can get some souvenirs and send a postcard letter from Santa to your friend which is a really incredible experience. During the winter, it was extremely cold but I really liked the view over there. There’s also a temperature measure outside and it was -3 degrees! After that, I have visited the husky and they are really cute with the white and black skin. #rovaniemi

Stepping into the Santa Claus and seeing the Santa is my dream when I was a child. In my recent trip to Rovaniemi was fabulous as i saw lots of stunning nature and different views in there. In the first morning , I have crossed the river and I realised that some part of the river get frozen and the reflection is amazing! They take care of the dogs, they seems happy and very friendly and the staff was very cordial. It was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We had great time. A Magical Day at Santa Claus Village

Don’t know about you, but I’ve always dreamed of meeting Santa Claus one day since I was a small kid. Little did I know that I get to travel to Finland and visit to the magical Santa Claus Village. My first stop in Finland was in Helsinki just like many other tourists’, so I rode a 10-hour overnight bus to Rovaniemi because it was the cheapest way to get there from Helsinki. It was so exhausting but worth it. After getting dropped off from the bus, I had to take an extra bus to the santa claus village. I arrived at around 9am and it was so pretty. Though the weather was freezing, the sun shined bright and made the village even more spectacular. What’s interesting is that you are actually in the arctic circle after you go inside. Having the reindeer ride was literally my dream come true. I’ve always loved reindeers and this was the first time i saw them. Never thought they were strong enough to actually pull me on the sleigh. But it was amazing and gave me “into the unknown” vibes. I didn’t get on the husky ride but it seemed fun too. Other than the rides, there were not much left to do in the village, but there were many souvenirs stores, food and cafes so you can spend a nice day here. A somewhat extreme tip for saving money is that you can walk from the village to the Rovaniemi airport to leave. It only takes around 30 minutes. There are usually flights from Rovaniemi to Helsinki but not many. On the day I left, I saw the board showing that my flight was the only flight of the airport on the entire day. For young travelers like me who’d like to check the Santa claus village off the bucket list and don’t mind the many efforts to get there, personally i think one day is perfectly enough. But if you have more time and budget, you should definitely stay a night in the Rovaniemi town and do some exploring there as well. #student #budgettrip #santa #finland #rovaniemi

Pure Burger and pizza at the Arctic circle

This restaurant is actually called Kauppayhtio (with two dots over the last o) in Finnish and it means trade company. Well, their name is part of their brand as they do trade indeed but they’re trading burgers and pizzas to people. I didn’t try pizza this time as I was eager to have one of their well known burgers. The restaurant has been decorated using kind of pop-art / vintage style. I like it although it’s purposely designed to be a little unfinished, a little factory like. The most important part is the dining experience. The service is very much in line with their style mixing friendly and a little industrial style service but one thing they are very passionate about is their food. The burgers are worth tasting. The serving is original their style and the wall of chili sauces offers the customer a chance to give a significant boost to the burger. I had mine with side salad but fries and even loaded fries are also an option. The price of the meal is about 20 euros without shake and about 25 euros with the milkshake which is famous too and indeed tasty. So when compared to many other restaurants in the region the price is very reasonable but the biggest thing is their dedication and their willingness to do it with style. When people mention Rovaniemi Finland , is always about igloo and aurora . But I would like to spare a few words on neither this two, there are more than aurora that you can experience there. I personally love the artic ice breaker ship and the floating on the artic ocean, I really think is an experience of a life time. The safari snowmobile was really amazing sliding tru the forest and the frozen river not to mention the amazing view and scenery . Oh ya almost forgot about the husky ride , don’t go for the short 800m ride … go for the forest 5km-10km ride , you will love it. It was my 3rd Rovaniemi trip and the best accommodation I had experience so far here is with artic treehouse hotel. Waking up with the view of the snowy forest when u open ur eyes , breakfast that sent directly to ur room and with the amazing fire place is simply magical. The staff , front desk and yr very own concierge that come immediately within 2 mins every time u need a help was 5 star . The breakfast area is simply class and beautiful . Snowmobiling trip in Rovaniemi

This was an unforgettable experience in Rovaniemi. We booked a combo tour of ice fishing and snowmobiling. We were first picked up by tour operator and were provided overalls as it was freezing cold outside -14 degrees. We started the snowmobile. It was a 35 km ride . After half way we were offered nice stew then we went to a frozen lake to do ice fishing. Unfortunately did not catch any fish. But we learnt a thing or two about ice fishing how to drill a hole and how to catch fish. Highly recommend a trip to Rovaniemi. I booked via trip.com#rovaniemi #snowmobiling
