100% recommend this place to stay for long or short travelers out there. The people are nice and welcoming, the food are good, they are more than happy to help you with transport, advice on places to visit and even help arrange stuff for a cheaper price than usual I personally didn't make specific plans as my goal was to relax and move along with my mood, but they have been nothing but helpful on coming up with ideas and even taking you along with whatever they had planned that day I barely had to worry about anything and it was nothing but welcoming. Truly considering to return back to Lijiang for a long stay and staying at this place again Lijiang had been so healing and the people here had contributed it grandly

This is tricky. The location is very good in the sense that it is right smack in the ancient city. However, it is quite a distance you'll have to walk from where cars will drop you because cars are not allowed in. If you have some luggage, it is tiring to carry them in, on the sloppy terrain. It also didn't help when it was raining so the stone road was slippery. On a Saturday night, the music from the surrounding bars was loud. Food options were plentiful and near by. The person is charge (maybe owner) is really nice. He is very helpful not only about facilities in the hotel but also things in general. His staff recommended us to watch 千古情 and that was incredible. Overall, it was a very nice stay and the staff are very helpful.

This is a well priced option in the city. It is about a 20-minute walk from the main Kunming railway station, so for those arriving at Kunming airport late when the metro has stopped running, you can take the airport bus to the railway station and walk to the hotel. The hotel is also a short 5 min walk away from the nearest metro station Tangzixiang, which is a convenient interchange station. There are only a few food options near the hotel but a walk to the Tangzixiang area throws up more. No amenities like a pool etc - typical of an Ibis but for the price paid, no complaints. Did not tru their breakfast so cannot comment. Night front desk staff can be a little rushed despite being professional.

travelled with 2 seniors and a family with a 5year old child, service here is next level - from the amenities provided to the facilities at the hotel. most noteworthy was the free laundry (DIY) service they have, but when i forgot to take out from the dryer pass midnight, they actually took it out for me and hang-dry for me to collect the next morning. with sumptuous breakfast sets (chosen the night before) to leg-soaks and desserts the evening and not forgetting the rooftop seating and view, the service here is nothing short of exceptional. room is comfortable, toilet is luxurious, bed is firm and good. boutique hotel with 6-stars overall!

Room was clean and tidy. Not too big, but still comfortable to stay in. There are 2 sides to the room, 1 bed nearer to the first part of the room near the lobby door (Aircon ventilation does not blow towards this direction) and 2 beds nearer to the bathroom side of the room. The room's windows were later discovered to be strangely left ajar when we started detecting stench of cigarette smoke coming in from these windows. Potential guests,do take note to check for any ajar windows when you check into the room and close them promptly if you cannot withstand cig smoke like us. The stench stayed around at the side of the room with no aircon vent. Hotel staff, pls also do remember to close the windows after servicing / cleaning the rooms.

The hostel is very conveniently located along the trail, with a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy coffee and meals. The room was simple, with two separate beds and a private bathroom with a shower. Initially, there was no hot water, but the staff quickly addressed the issue and got it working. The room was equipped with heated sheets, a kettle, and extra blankets, making it comfortable for a one-night stay.

This hotel is located in a very cosy and quiet environment in Kunming city centre . The surrounding is very much having ancient feeling and most importantly . The hotel staff are very friendly and seduce was tit top. It is a good location for meeting old friend and chatting with friends visiting . If I return one day , this would be my first choice of stay .

There is a breakfast room and washing machine on the 2nd floor. Staff could not speak english but we use the translator it's not a problem.

We loving it!! The location is just next to Kunming railway station. We didn't need.to worry catching high speed train on early morning, easily finding food and local Shops, clean with nice contemporary design andgood functions comford bed with option of soft.and harder pillow giving us deep sleep. Special thing I find, they also provide fresh coffee at the lobby, this.is so sheerful for Coffee lover, giving thisa plus star!! Since it's quite Hard to find fresh one in Kunming.

We stayed at a comfortable hotel. We checked in around 3 AM, and the front desk service was available 24/7. Upon entering our room, it did not disappoint us. All the standard amenities were available, and the water heater, water pressure, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. We received a complimentary coffee voucher for redemption the next day. Unfortunately, the coffee tasted rather bizarre. Overall, we were happy with our stay due to the hotel's location, price, and the functionality of the room.

Room is clean and spacious. Very near to the nanping pedestrian street where you can find a lot of halal food. There are washers and dryers at level 21. You can use them for free. The staffs were very helpful. As we need to be at the airport early, so we checked out at 8pm. Upon check out, one of the staffs noticed that we have 1 more remaining night to stay. She then helped us to get refund for that.

Stayed here 2 times… Best feature - in the ancient town but near the entrance. So don’t need to drag your luggage through the cobblestone streets. Also quieter at night. Near the South Gate. Restaurant opposite the homestay is awesome! Had a 3 person room the first time, big screen Projector as TV. When we return to stay the 2nd time, messed up our bookings where there wasn’t enough beds…decided to stay in a 2 bed room as we are only staying for the night. Bit of a squeeze. Haha.

A very nice place, short walk from the ancient city but far enough away from the hustle bustle of the ancient city. Overall clean place and the owner is usually found sipping tea at the lobby. You can join him for a chit chat or get his help to book tours or buy stuff like tea or flower cakes. He is very professional and subtle in his selling approach. Breakfast is mixian 米线 served with sides by an older lady. Delicious! Lots of other food options nearby

Super loved our stay at Intercontinental Lijiang. Hotel location is fantastic, the main entrance is along the road hence cars can enter and drop you off directly at the main lobby. The side gate of the hotel leads directly into the ancient town. There is no need to drag your luggage through the rocky roads of the ancient town. Buggy service to and fro the main lobby and rooms are available 24/7. Amenities are good, with an indoor pool and sauna as well as a in-house spa centre. The cafe in the lobby has a very beautiful view of the snow mountain, and is nice to have tea there to enjoy the view. They even have a dyson hair dryer in every room too. Highly recommend 👍🏼

The staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was facing the lake view, it add up our good impression during our stay. and the bed was cleaned and comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning, afternoon tea and the milks provided by the hotel staff at night during our stay. We felt so welcome and relaxed. We also loved the convenient location that close to major attractions. We will come back again in future.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.  Location of hotel is very strategic, it’s within the old town.  Excellent service from all the hotel staffs. Special thanks to v豆豆奶,who helped us to arrange our transportation, and helped us to look for local tours. They helped us to carry our luggage from the entrance of old town to the hotel as cars are not allowed to enter the old town.  They did beautiful simple decorations for our honeymoon stay as well.  Thank you so much Hope to return again

Jinmao Hotel is famous for its beautiful environment. I like the courtyard and natural beauty here. It made our stay very comfortable. To improve: the attitude of the service staff is uneven. Some service staff are very patient, and some service staff have a bad attitude. Just like the service staff at the counter, we wanted to ask her for help on the last day to go to the train station. She frowned and asked us to go to another department for assistance. We felt that we disturbed her busy work. When we went to another department, they said that they all listened to the arrangements of the front desk. At that time, we felt that they could not help guests solve such a small problem. I hope that the hotel management can see our feedback and train some service staff who need improvement. Fortunately, the manager Jennifer contacted us in time to help us solve the problem and kept apologizing to us, which alleviated our bad impression of them. Thanks for her help this time and let us have a pleasant stay.

Very good location, in the border of ancient town, just across the street, easy access to lots of places to eat and food stores around, including a very good place to buy bread (makes a difference for westerns used to bread in the breakfast) The room was very confortable, and clean, well equiped, and the staff was very nice. I got to the hotel from the airport by taxi, aprox CNY100. Hotel staff also helped me indicating a Van service to take me to Dali, 2 1/2 hour drive, for CNY100. Although I was traveling alone, my room with a queen bed would accommodate a couplevery comfortably.

Just right outside the North gate of LiJiang ancient city, high price to value ratio…. Can take cab to the front door of hotel and don’t need to carry luggage inside the bumpy road of the ancient city. Room is spacious amidst it is next door to the popular tourist spot.

The room looked great and was very comfortable. The location is near the ancient city. There are any places to eat nearby. The staff was very helpful. The tea they provide is also high quality. The only issue I have is with the TV. The box has a large selection of movies and TV series a la Netflix,however if you want to watch regular live TV , the box says that you have to pay. Note that the hotel is located in an alley off Yeyu Road and at first was hard to find.

Breakfast was enjoyable, the milk is great. Staffs are very helpful. Guide on local restaurants is very good, tried a few on the list and all were good.

Our hotel booking included a free pick-up service, which was a fantastic start to our stay. After chatting with the driver, we decided to book him for a two-day tour around Dali, which turned out to be a great decision. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. Although there was no lift and our room was on the third floor, the hotel staff were very helpful in transferring our luggage both to and from our room. It seems that many accommodations in Dali don’t have lifts, so this assistance was much appreciated. We were pleasantly surprised with free gifts and desserts provided by the hotel, adding a special touch to our stay. However, the breakfast selections were only so-so and could use some improvement. The hotel’s location is another highlight. It is quite close to the old ancient city, allowing us to walk there early in the morning and take photos with minimal people around. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel for its excellent service and convenient location.

It’s the first trip for my family and I to Dali and we truly enjoyed our stay here. The location of Pullman Dali was perfect - it is conveniently located near to Dali railway station and it overlooks the Erhai lake. The rooms were spacious and the cleaning staff did a good job at keeping the rooms very clean. We had a small hiccup with one of the rooms on the first night but the front desk staff were helpful and quick to resolve it. All the staff were helpful with any questions and recommendations to places of interest. Special mention to Herman who has been accommodating, and extremely attentive and helpful throughout our stay! The arrangement of printout of the photos taken during our stay was a very sweet and nice token. Furthermore, he went above and beyond by helping to arrange the delivery of something that we accidentally left behind. Overall our stay was enjoyable and I would highly recommend Pullman Dali to anyone looking for comfort and quality!

We stayed in a room for 3 pax. The room is like a small apartment; spacious as it comes with 2 separate rooms and a common bathroom. As we were not used to using disposable towels, they have replaced them with normal cotton towels. We were staying at the 2nd floor and bathroom and has good water pressure. Service at the reception is top notch and really commendable. They were patient and offered to help book tickets and shared coordinates of locations as we were not able to read Chinese. When we checked out , we received 2 boxes of flower biscuit which was unexpected and was a pleasant surprise. As the hotel is situated near the east gate, it’s a good choice if you intend to travel towards erhai lake area.

In my years of travel around the world, this hotel is about the most highly rated I have ever given. Clean rooms and their meticulous guest relationship is their hotel standard, but above all they do your laundry, accord us delicious n healthy breakfast and tea every day, it makes u hoping to stay longer. A special shout-out to our dedicated guest relation officer... Siow Muh..he makes our stay here a most memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

There are so many good things about this place! I’ve been in more than 30 countries traveling alone for many years.. I’ve stayed in hundreds of accommodations throughout my travels. But this place is different.. it feels like HOME… The staff is so helpful. One of the ladies speaks very good english and she helped me a lot with recommendations: places to visit, places to eat, dishes to try, etc. In one of the days I rented an electric motorbike from here. They suggested so many places to visit around the lake. I ended up doing 140km with that motorbike around the lake. Was a great journey fueled by the recommendations of the hotel staff. They offered me so many things for free: fruits, water, and they even did a small tea ceremony only for me! Not only that, in one of the days, me and some other guests engaged in some traditional local dances with the hotel staff in the lobby! As for the hotel: The room is big and clean, you have hot water, AC, TV, good WiFI, big and comfy bed! You have washing machines on the rooftop, you can wash for FREE and dry your clothes in the sun on the rooftop! I highly recommend this place!

Hotel service is very good and prompt in getting back. They have free shuttle to airport and from airport. Room was big and clean, they even give free snacks and all to all guest ☺️ Indeed, is a wonderful experience and would come again for sure !!

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel and will definitely return if we have the chance to visit Dali again (which we hope to!). The location is perfect, right next to Dali Old Town with breathtaking views of Cangshan Mountain. Our room was super clean, cozy, and equipped with new, modern, and high-end facilities. We were even upgraded to a better room category for free! The service was truly exceptional, among the best we've ever experienced. The owner went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. He welcomed us with a pot of tea and delicious rose cake (a Dali specialty) while we waited for our room, and later surprised us with fresh fruit delivered directly to our room. He also provided gentle reminders about breakfast and the nightly soup offering, which was a lovely touch. Speaking of breakfast, it was quite decent with a good variety of local choices like rice noodles, corn, egg, and mini buns. The owner was always ready to assist with anything we needed, from recommending fantastic restaurants to helping us book bus tickets. Unfortunately, we had an accident during our trip, and the owner's response was incredible. He went above and beyond to help us, showing genuine care and concern. We felt like we were being treated like family, and we are so grateful for his patience and support during a difficult time. We 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in Dali. The combination of stunning views, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional service make this a true gem!

A haven of comfort and hospitality Service - The hotel staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Almost real-time response on WeChat for any queries that I may have (also includes asking for recommendations on attractions or other services). They greeted us with a warm smile and helped us carry our heavy suitcases upstairs. The host can speak three different languages (including English), so it is very communicable, and she also lent me a very lovely shawl to take out when I only asked where I could get it from. Perfect location - just a ten-minute walk to Dali Ancient City. There are also convenient stores and restaurants along the street. Rooms - The room I stayed in was immaculately decorated, and the facilities were well equipped. The bed was exceptionally comfortable - ngl I probably had the most restful night after three days of travelling. Cleanliness - we found a piece of hair on the bed, so we asked if we could change the bedsheet. I must commend that the host was very responsible, as she apologised and referred the issue to the housekeeping staff right away. Other than this small incident, everything is very new and maintained at a high standard of cleanliness. Most importantly - There’s two adorable cats 😍 and a very comfortable common room where you can grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the sun. My experience staying in this hotel is just simply outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a memorable and delightful experience.
