It was my friends' first time visiting Gu Bei, and Celin and her team prepared the most memorable birthday surprise for them. They made our stay so magical, and the children and adults had a great time. The breakfast spread was spectacular, and they even prepared a cake and fruits for us. The hotel and hot spring were both clean. The hotel is centrally located near all the attractions. Despite the summer heat, we had the best time. Thank you!

Hotel very good location, MRT in front of the hotel easily to get Taxi or train. Staff can call taxi for you. Room was clean and the bed very big, in the winter you must book the room with windows because the air-conditioned in the room can't be lower than 23 degree (in case you feel like need airtime).opposite the hotel have noodles restaurant, bakery shop and fruits , grocery shops, if you walk a little more you will see McDonald's, KFC , New world Shopping mall. Next time I will stay here again.

The room is consistent with the picture, with large space and relatively complete facilities. It is very good for family travel. The most beautiful thing is the hot spring pool and bathtub in the house, so that friends can take a bubble bath in the bathtub, and adults can take an unlimited hot spring bath in the house. There are three large air conditioners in the room, the temperature is 32℃, it is too hot, and the door is closed. It will not be frozen at all. Haha. There are cribs, baby quilts, slides, tents, and small tables in the room. The children don't want to go out when they play in the house. If the children don't like the water world, it's okay to play in the house. My otaku doesn't want to go out. The facilities of the naughty castle on the first floor are indeed a bit simple and old, but it is still very good for children to release their energy, and there are not many people. The breakfast is still very rich. We ordered takeout for lunch and dinner, but we have to wait for about 1 hour, so we need to order it early. The price of Chinese food is about the same as takeout. I didn't experience the small hot pot buffet because I was not very hungry. We arrived early. Although the room was not cleaned, we were allowed to check in early and change clothes to go to the water world, which is very humane. Although there are not many staff, you can find them when you need them. The main point is that there are few people and it is unobstructed. There is everything that a water world should have, and afternoon tea is not limited. If you have any needs, just tell the waiter and they will satisfy you with bubbles and playing. For a family like us who don't have too many needs and don't require the project to be Fengdu, it is enough. The transportation is convenient, and I can communicate well with taxi drivers.
Beijing Placid Lake Resort Hotel

Changping Town/Shisanling Resort
The private hot spring cabin around the lake has an independent courtyard where you can park your car. This is very convenient. The house is very large and they are very considerate to help you decorate the room. It is very suitable for birthdays and anniversaries. The cabin is well ventilated and the intelligent control system is also well made. Xiaodu voice control plays music and the atmosphere is directly controlled! The outdoor private hot spring pool has curtains and ancient style. You will be given a water card (three pools of water can be used). As long as you swipe it, the water will be automatically released and stopped, which is very convenient! The lake view is also super beautiful! Service: Special thanks and praise to Nono Butler. After taking us to the yard, she introduced every setting and service attentively. She is online 24 hours a day. If you have any questions, find her and she can help you express them as soon as possible! It's really great! [2 adults and 1 child] 5 activities for Tuotuowan Parent-Child Farm: You must go if you bring children. There are many animals and you can feed them; there are also many amusement facilities, and the overall planning is very good. Hot spring ticket for two: Shiyongquan has unlimited entry and exit, but there are not many pools overall, especially the outdoor pools basically do not smoke, which feels not as comfortable as the private hot springs. The steam rooms are quite unique and recommended to experience. Apple picking 10 pounds: The local apples are very delicious, and I happened to experience the last wave of picking in mid-November.
Spring Yingxiang Sky Garden Hotel (Beijing Tiananmen Wangfujing Branch)

Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area
Really good location with easy walks to the metro and lots of casual eatery options nearby. It is located in a Hutong which is a narrow old town street, so you will be sharing that with people, bikes, scooters and the occasional car. The Hutongs are sort of a tourist attraction by itself, and filled with historical spots, and the walk on the Hutong streets are always enjoyable strolls. The facility is well worn, and could use a refresher but it is clean and the helpfulness of the staff makes it much better. I wish they would turn on the AC for the common areas / hallways more. I understand that guests only stay in these areas a short time, but it makes a big impression.

I enjoyed this hotel so much ! It’s a bit away from the crowds that’s why you can enjoy the atmosphere of being in the mountains . The room was cosy and had an interesting design ! Bed was comfortable and cafe outside was cosy too ) two sweet doggies live there and you can enjoy petting them any time you wish ) the view from the roof was amazing and you could enjoy watching the Great Wall while sitting on the chair among the water on the roof 🥰 Shuiguan Great Wall was just 5 minutes away from the hotel ! I enjoyed climbing it , there were almost no people and It gives you an amazing feeling of being one -on -one with the nature and the wall! ❤️ the only thing I didn’t like - there was a smell in the bathroom . And when man in the next room started shouting in the evening - I could hear it very well! Because the walls in the hotel are sin. Nice guy in the reception immediately helped me to solve this problem - he wrote to my neighbours and they stopped creaming 🙏 all in all I liked this place and hope to come back one day ! thank you for the wonderful stay ! 🙏❤️

I really enjoy my stay on this Hotel, since the ”check in” Hanna was really nice with us explaining us all the things that we need to do to visit all the places that we wanted. The room was very comfortable, clean and they it has the things that we need it, i also reserve with breakfast included and was very healthy and tasty. After the ”check out” they help us to keep our bagge some hours to visit some place before our flight. Thank you so much for the experience.

Shunyi Hot Spring Leisure Area
My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. This resort is delightful. There are many options for suites and ours was amazing and the hotel even decorated for us and provided a reasonably priced room upgrade for the occasion. However, there were small issues that we faced. As foreigners, the hotel wasn’t always equipped to speak with us and clearly had higher COVID checks for us, even though we haven’t left China in over three years. This treatment did not feel fair but we understand the security measures. We also dealt with an overly hot room. That was the main complaint we had. The setting stayed at 31 degrees Celsius all night despite our efforts and the waiters assistance. It was miserable. Our private hot spring also had a small issue with the water that was later solved. Overall, we had a pleasant experience with some minor issues (except the heat- that was miserable). I would stay again if I could ensure the room temperature could be changed.
Weiming Courtyard Hotel (Beijing Nanxun Ancient Alley Houhai Branch)

Houhai Area
Location: The hotel is in the middle of Hutong community, it is great for getting a glimpse of life in Hutong. Once you make your way out of the Hutong, it is close to a variety of restaurants. It is close to Yaoji Gulou store, which you can have a taste of traditional Beijing breakfast. The downside of being tucked in the Hutong is, it takes 10 min to walk in (ok in normal standards, but a bit hard when check-in/check-out with kids and luggage), and some Didi driver would whine a bit when they drive in. Interior: The lobby has many traditional Chinese activities for you to try for free, such as traditional clothes, go chess, chinese chess, Guzhen, tea set etc. Fun for both kids and adults. The room is nice and clean. Staff: Staff were very welcoming and responsive. You can tell they've put a lot of thoughts into their services down to the little details such as when to pack the breakfast for us.

Beijing Wtown
Good location near the entrance of Gubei Water Town. Bought the hotel package with breakfast and complimentary tickets to hot spring and ticket entrance to Gubei town. Beautiful room with good choices of breakfast. Swimming pool looks good but the ladies shower head and sprinkler needs to be repaired and have shower curtain for more privacy. There should be an attendant in locker room to assist in sauna, jacuzzi and heater room. There is only one hair dryer. In addition there is no lifeguard nor anyone to tell that the swimming tube needs to pay rmb 20 each (I can't read Chinese) even though a man that appeared suddenly from nowhere at swimming pool told me much later about it. Overall, it's a good experience.
