According to Art Review magazine, Swiss art dealer Iwan Wirth is the world’s second most powerful art dealer.

The widely read contemporary art magazine publishes its Power 100 list annually in the fall. The list is a hierarchical ranking of the individuals the magazine has deemed to be the most powerful in the international art world. Among art dealers on the list, Mr. Wirth comes in just below American-based, German-born dealer David Zwirner, with whom Mr. Wirth once ran a secondary market gallery, Zwirner & Wirth. Mr. Zwirner, who runs galleries in New York and London, ranks number two on the list overall. Mr. Wirth, who operates his Hauser & Wirth galleries in London, New York and Zurich, and will soon open the gallery Hauser Wirth & Schimmel in Los Angeles, comes in at number three on the list. Among the top 25 individuals on the list, there are seven  dealers.
