You know him, you love him, and now he has a new gallery. That’s right, the estimable sculptor, Martin Puryear, the master of wood, is now represented by Matthew Marks Gallery. He had been showing in New York with McKee Gallery since 1987. We actually just found out via a nice little paper announcement.
There’s nothing definitive on the calendar yet, but one imagines those sculptures are going to look great in Mr. Marks’s galleries.
