Abstract
In recent years, many countries have been facing the problem of population aging. At the same time, the probability of elderly people suffering from cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) is increasing yearly. Thus, monitoring the heart in daily life is extremely important. Heart rate variability (HRV) is a common phenomenon that the time interval between heartbeat changes to longer or shorter [1]. The different changes are determined by the autonomic nervous system (ANS), which automatically regulates the heart rate, blood sugar, blood pressure, breathing, and body temperature [2,3]. If the ANS is abnormal, the inter-beat intervals (IBIs) variation tends to be shorter. In contrast, the variation tends to be longer if the ANS is more relaxed. Therefore, the HRV monitoring module is necessary for a heart monitoring system.
