Morgan Wallen’s ex-fiancée, KT Smith, speaks out on singer’s arrest after she eloped
Morgan Wallen’s ex-fiancée, Katie “KT” Smith, denies the country singer’s arrest was fueled by him being “crushed” over her recent elopement to fellow influencer Luke Scornavacco.
“Although it may seem like it correlates because of the timeline, I have no evidence to believe the incident had anything to do with the recent marriage announcement,” Smith — who shares a 3-year-old son, Indigo, with Wallen — told the Daily Beast Monday.
“I cannot speak on Morgan’s behalf, but I do pray the very best for him. Praying that this was just a slipup and that he will return to the good path that he was on prior.”
A source alleged to the Daily Mail earlier Monday that Wallen, 30, had spiraled when he learned of Smith’s nuptials, which took place just five days after she and Scornavacco got engaged.
“KT’s marriage to Luke last week just crushed him,” the insider claimed. “Whatever happened at that bar had to be reality hitting him in the face over losing the love of his life.”
Wallen has not addressed the report, and his reps did not immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.
However, a source told us that the “Wasted on You” singer’s arrest had “nothing to do” with Smith’s marriage.

Wallen was taken into custody Sunday night after allegedly throwing a chair off the rooftop at Eric Church’s new honky-tonk bar in Nashville, Chief’s, and it landed near two police officers.
The “Whiskey Glasses” crooner was charged early Monday with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.

Wallen’s lawyer said in a statement at the time that his client was “cooperating fully with authorities.”
Meanwhile, Smith, 29, has been in martial bliss, reposting congratulatory messages about her wedding via her Instagram Stories.
She started dating Wallen in December 2016, and they got engaged just a few months later. They then called off their engagement, but continued to date off and on until November 2019.
Wallen and Smith welcomed Indigo in July 2020, a few months after their breakup.
He has since had relationships with other women in the public eye, including Paige Lorenze and a rumored fling with Kristin Cavallari.
However, Daily Mail’s source claimed Monday, “Morgan has never gotten over [Smith] even though he couldn’t stay faithful to her. And now another man is going to be raising his son.”
