Slash’s stepdaughter apologized for her ‘disgustingly big ego’ before death at 25: ‘May my soul learn to evolve’
Slash’s stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, penned a heartbreaking post on Instagram before she died at age 25, issuing an apology to those around her for her perceived shortcomings.
“Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/ controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity-I am sorry,” she wrote alongside a mirror selfie of herself Monday.
“Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable.”
Knight concluded with a hopeful wish, “May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace🌷.”
The post was shared after she passed away on July 19 so it appears to have been pre-scheduled. Her exact cause of death has not yet been revealed.
The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office previously told the Post that an autopsy has been scheduled.
Slash, 59, took to Instagram Sunday to announce his stepdaughter’s death, sharing that she had “passed peacefully in Los Angeles.”
Despite Knight’s harsh words about herself, the Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist remembered her as an “incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.”
He concluded his post by asking for privacy as his family grieves their “devastating loss.”
