We’re looking back at One More Time fundraising dance night and our hearts are full seeing the wonderful memories that were made. The Best Buddies Philippines dance floor is open to all and we are so thankful to everyone who joined us for this unforgettable evening of fun, music and connection. BBP dance nights are more than just a gathering but it is about creating a community where everyone feels welcome, seen, and valued. At our events, we celebrate inclusion in all of its forms. This event supports our organization in opening doors to new friendships, experiences, and understanding all over the Philippines. Events like this reinforce that when we come together in all our diversity, we create a world full of possibilities. Tapping into Potential with the Best Buddies Philippines Pre-Employment Training Program BATCH 2. After the successful launch of the BBP Pre-Employment Program this 2024, we are happy to announce to all advocates of inclusion, that we are opening 20 slots for individuals with intellectual and developmental diversities to embark on a self-empowering journey in 2025. This face-to-face training program, consisting of 12 F2F sessions held in various locations across Metro Manila, is designed for participants aged 18 and above. Covering 12 distinct modules, the training equips participants for integrated employment, fostering a future of inclusion and professional growth. As part of adidas’ PH initiatives for their Global Week of Inclusion, our team held an inclusive workplace training at their head office, with a focus on “Embracing Neurodiversity”. These trainings provide an insight and discussion on how to improve the level of inclusion for persons with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities in all kinds of spaces. On August 30, 2024, Best Buddies Philippines held its 1st golf fundraising tournament, the Inclusion Cup 2024 at the Manila Golf & Country Club. This tournament was more than playing golf, but a day filled with socializing, awareness building and mission moments. One of which was the birthday message from one of our beloved BBP Ambassadors Larry Aguirre, who heartwarmingly shared his journey of inclusion as a person with Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD). As the kickoff for our fundraising efforts for the year, we invited players for a day of friendship and fun on the green. We continuously aim to bring meaningful experiences in different kinds of ways. The proceeds of the Inclusion Cup 2024 will be used to support the expansion of our programs around the Philippines and bring more impact to the community we serve. This tournament would not be possible without the incredible partners, sponsors, donors and advocates who came together to make this Inclusion Cup 2024 a success.
