Closing the loop – one city at a time! ♻️🗑️ We are proud to announce the succesful signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Nordic Embassies and Pasig City to support the local government’s transition to a circular economy. Danish Ambassador Franz-Michael Mellbin, Finnish Ambassador Saija Nurminen, Norwegian Ambassador Christian Halaas Lyster, and Swedish Ambassador Harald Fries penned the agreement with Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto at the Danish Residence. The agreement is part of the joint initiative of the Nordic Embassies in the Philippines on circular economy, through the support of the The Nordic Council of Ministers and The Nordic Council. The collaborative project will focus on sharing Nordic knowledge and technology, driving social behavioral change, and mainstreaming gender and inclusivity in the city government’s circular economy programs. We commend Pasig City’s leadership in sustainability, and we look forward to working with the local government as a model city in the country for circular economy.
