We aim to help develop and grow the Philippines’ steel structure industry. Our company makes use of the excellent and resilient features of steel. We provide steel technologies that are primarily developed in Japan, but appropriate for the environmental and societal needs of the Philippines, such as vibration control devices like the Unbonded Brace(UBB), Seismic Isolation bearings and dampers. De La Salle University professors and students visited Nippon Steel Engineering's headquarters in Tokyo on August 28, 2024, as part of their International Exchange Program. The civil engineering students were able to learn about the technologies that NSE offers such as Vibration Control Devices & Special Steel Structures. They were also able to experience first hand on how NSE's base isolation device works through VR. August 2, 2024. PNS ASTech took part in the Workshop on the Introduction of Road Technologies with the Department of Public Works and Highways and Japanese Companies held at the Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros. PNS ASTech was one of the presenters, along with TOA Road Corporation and Tokyo Rope Inc. The World Bank noted that Metro Manila is highly expose to earthquake hazards, combined with the vulnerability of buildings and infrastructure, posing a very high risk of loss of life, direct damage, and economic losses. The Big One scenario of a 7.2-magnitude earthquake along the West Valley Fault could result in approximately 48,000 fatalities and $48 billion in economic losses. With this, the World bank emphasizes on the major benefits of retrofitting which are reduction in building damage and potential casualties.
