After weeks of hard work, our final Hexafarms are now joined together laying the foundation for the Reef Resort. With enough space for 15 floating Glamphouses, we’re now set to expand our marine ecosystem, enhance aquaculture, and create an even better experience for future Reef Resort guests. Stay tuned as we continue building towards something truly extraordinary! #construction #ReefResort #FloatinResort

Our Founder presented how seasteading provides a faster, cheaper, and more adaptable way to establish free cities during the Liberty in Our Lifetime conference in November 2024. He shared how ArkPad’s seasteading technology enables autonomous communities to thrive on water, bypassing costly land negotiations and rigid regulations. The ArkPad prototype, tested in Boracay, demonstrates stability, resource-sharing, and sustainability—paving the way for the future of floating cities! In December, we ordered several fiberglass parts in preparation for the construction of 2 new ArkPads. These ArkPad units will be built as an extension of the Reef Resort in Samal Island, and are going to be made even stronger, and importantly, more portable than the ArkPad built in Boracay. Witht his new more portable design, we will be able to produce ArkPads in pieces in the Philippines, and put them into shipping containers to send anywhere int he world, making it easy for anyone to buy an ArkPad from us.

Our team has made a set of 4 fish traps, these traps will be deployed to the seafloor underneath the Reef Resort, and are designed to catch primarily small numbers of large fish such as Grouper. In the Philippines, Bobo traps are traditional fishing devices used to catch fish, crabs, or other marine creatures. These traps are typically made from bamboo or other sturdy materials and are designed with funnel-like entrances that allow marine life to enter but make it difficult for them to escape. They are commonly used in coastal communities as a sustainable and efficient fishing method.

We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of our new and improved Hexafarm! In this update, you can see us pulling this larger, upgraded Hexafarm to connect it to our prototype. This latest addition is twice the size of the original, featuring a significantly larger inner cage. What does that mean? - More space to sustainably grow fish. - Room to nurture other marine species, expanding our ecosystem. - Extra capacity to install a more spacious and luxurious Glamphouse, designed to elevate the experience for our future Reef Resort guests. With this major upgrade, we’re not just building a sustainable future—we’re creating unforgettable adventures at sea. Stay tuned for more updates!

The Glamphouse is constructed with three distinct layers, designed to provide comfort and durability. The first layer is the inner layer, which creates a cozy and welcoming interior space. The second layer is the insulation foam, which was recently installed to enhance thermal regulation by reducing heat buildup during sunny days. This layer plays a crucial role in maintaining a cooler interior environment, even under direct sunlight. The final layer is an outer tent that adds extra protection from external elements, ensuring the Glamphouse is weather-resistant and secure. This three-layer construction ensures that guests can enjoy a comfortable and enjoyable stay, regardless of the weather conditions.

Exciting progress is happening at The Reef Resort! Our very first 16m Hexafarm unit is coming to life, marking a significant milestone in our journey. With one unit already taking shape and a second on the way, those scattered black pipes will soon be joined together into a permanent floating neighborhood. Because of the massive size of the Hexafarm, we had to periodically push the structure into the water as we assembled it. This series of images and videos captures its gradual journey closer to the water as it took shape. Stay tuned for more updates, and be sure to follow us to join this incredible adventure!
