Price very expensive

Beautiful resort in a remote place. Get ready for high end pricing. Food is nice, but for the price average. There was a special dinner during the time of our visit, starring a Michelin chef from Zwitserland. That dinner was extremely disappointing. Breakfast is high end. Spa services are extremely overpriced, but good quality (but in nice resorts in Ubud they are comparable and half price). One big remark: the pool temperature (public pool and private pool) is too low. And staff is not able to fix it. For such a property quite a faux pas. Forget your floating breakfast; you will not be able to stay in the water till the end. Shuttle service limited and stops after 3 pm (so you won’t go anywhere else😉). Taxi is easy alternative by the way. 30 minutes till center.

If you like nature, like to immerse yourself in the rainforest, fall asleep to the white noise of gurgling river water, like to watch birds stop by the room and drink water by the pool in the afternoon, and like to wake up in the morning to the sudden visit of wild monkeys, then you will definitely not want to leave this hotel like me. I strongly recommend the 1.5-hour river side spa, which requires walking to the Ayung River at the bottom of the mountain of the hotel. The price is not cheap, but the feeling of letting your body and mind fly can only be understood by experiencing it yourself. Note that the floor of the villa room is very slippery, so don't wear the slippers provided by the hotel.

The hotel is very good. It is in the Ubud Valley. Outside are quiet villages and large rice fields. The villagers are very friendly. The food in the hotel is very good, exquisite and delicious. I stayed there 10 years ago and the experience of staying again this time is still good.
