Because of the bear package, I bought the Conrad hotel package in a group. I think it is very good. The bear is so cute. My sister's girlish heart... ⭐Location: Located on the 37th to 52nd floors of Jiafa Cross-Trade Center, Nan'an District, Chongqing, it faces the Yangtze River to the north and Nanshan to the south. It is within a 30-minute drive from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, Chongqing North Station and Chongqing West Station, and it takes only 8 minutes to walk to the International Convention and Exhibition Center. ⭐Facilities: The hotel rooms are spacious and bright, all with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, which can take in the beautiful scenery of Chongqing's mountain city. The mini bar 🆓 provides a variety of exquisite wines and snacks, and the first round of soft drinks is free. It is also equipped with Nespresso coffee capsule machines, premium teas, kettles, etc. ⭐Service: The day before check-in, Kappo, a hotel staff member, asked us about some requirements for the room. When checking in that day, the door of the room suddenly couldn't be opened, but the front desk staff immediately helped us solve it. The response was fast and efficient👍🏻 ⭐Food: There are quite a lot of breakfast varieties, and the quality is also OK! The restaurant waiters are very dedicated and professional 👍🏻

The location is fine for what I wanted. It is close to dozens of fantastic cafes, bars and restaurants on and around Ziwei street. However, I’m not sure I’d choose it again. It’s a bit old and tired now. The rooms were once apartments; there is a small kitchen unit (no longer equipped). The worst thing was the disgusting smell of stale cigarette smoke in my non-smoking room. Even after 48 hours of open windows, it made no difference. The shower suddenly went freezing cold for a second or two approximately every minute (both mornings) and the utterly bizarre hard and sharp plastic spikes on the shower mat did not exactly improve the mood! The city view room is not worth paying for. It is a city view, but no landmarks. The traffic is noisy all night (especially with windows open due to cigarette smells)! As an internationally branded hotel, they need to do better in terms of stamping out smoking. I think I could have done better for the money and will seek to do so the next time I’m in Chongqing.

Although the hotel is clearly older, all the appliances are well maintained and in good shape, my room was clean and comfortable - one chair was really ready to be replaced, sagging through, but I just used the other one. The breakfast buffet was very good with only one exception: the chocolate donuts were stale. Plenty of other baked goods were delicious, though. Location was perfect for exploring the heart of Chongqing and close to metro station Lianglukou which is a good starting point to get to many sights. I would stay here again as service was prompt and friendly, too.

Room is clean and spacious. However noise insulation is not fantastic, either that or my neighbors were extremely loud. Could hear them so loud esp during the power outage period at 3am on 17 Dec, in the middle of the night. Very good location and good selection of breakfast. Check-out counter staff service was rude when I ask question about where to leave the luggage after check-out. However the baggage counter staff service was excellent.

The overall experience was good and I extreme impressed by the staff called Xiao Ru. She has been welcoming us with warmth and care from the first day we arrived Travelling with kids was always challenging but Xiao Ru has provided excellent service and patience for our queries. She has been kind enough to follow up if we need any further assistance on a daily basis. We had an early travel plan and she ensured her colleagues in another shift sending fruit to us every day after her shift. Additionally, she assisted the laundry pick up from our room and ready before our return to the room. Since we were on a night flight, a complimentary late check out was really helpful to ease out hassle. The breakfast was pretty good with a variety of options and the location was superb too. We'll definitely consider Mercure for our next visit!
