For business travelers, this spot is perfectly situation along the Northeast end of the Loop, meaning that you can get to River North by foot and the convention center via the L easily. The checkin process was great, and the staff were friendly. I was surprised by the $25/night resort fee at checkin (the place aint' a resort), but the clerk gave me a free drink voucher and handful of free breakfast vouchers that I used at the coffee shop each morning, which helped reduce the overall shock to the system. (The coffee shop does a mean chai latte and is a nice place to work on a laptop if you're early for checkin.) The vibe of the hotel itself is pretty sweet. If you're into bright colors and neon sign, then this place is for you. The rooftop bar gets a little clubby in the evening, so if that's not your scene, then arrive when the sun is still out. The room itself was lovely and clever—I liked the sliding doors that separated the bathroom/closet area from the bedroom. Overall, would def stay here again if I'm back in Chicago.

Loved our time at the Loews Chicago! My husband had a meeting in Chicago and my 7 y/o son and I tagged along. The staff was beyond amazing. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming. The hotel was very family-friendly while still having a 4-star hotel vibe. We had a Junior Suite which was perfect for a family. Only funky thing was no window in our living room - but we had a nice view from the bedroom. Bathroom is huge! We had a large walk-in shower and big tub (which my son loved). Location is fantastic too. Easy 10-15 min walk to both Navy Pier and Millennium Park. Plus a Starbucks inside the hotel. Plus a Whole Foods across the street. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit Chicago.

The Pendry is a beautiful hotel in an historic building situated close to restaurants and museums. They provided an exceptional guest experience, especially Muriel at the front desk)! When we checked in, Muriel asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I told her we were celebrating my husband’s birthday and she upgraded our room. During our stay, Muriel sent champagne with a kind note, which made us feel very special. In the morning, Muriel asked where we were going and offered us directions and tips. Upon check in, all guests receive a welcome cocktail and a voucher for 1/2 dozen oysters at the hotel’s restaurant Venteux. The food at Venteux is fabulous! I am a guest of your's. I am very happy here. I sing highly of your service. First of all, the hotel is so beautiful. It looks like a garden. I enjoy it. Then, foods are delicious and some of them are amazing. Most important reason is that the bed is so big and soft that I don't want to get up every morning. It's wonderful here. It is located next to the lake at the north end of Michigan Avenue in Chicago, and it is the best location with the luxury street right next to it. I also plan to stay at Daumeng.

Great experience, wonderful staff. Only complaint was chromecast in room didn't work, but what a first world problem! View of the city was amazing and we had the pool to ourselves all weekend. Won't hesitate to book again.

The location can't be faulted, not on Michigan Avenue, but right next to the Avenue. Surrounded by shopping malls and luxury stores. Shopping and eating are very convenient. The girl has reserved dinner on the 65th floor of the John Hancock Building 6 minutes on foot. The environment and sanitation are the standards that old hotels should have. The rooms are very large Both shower and bathtub Washstand Double Desk Especially to praise the housekeeping We stayed for two days, so the toiletries and cosmetics were randomly placed on the sink, and the service staff helped to arrange them neatly one by one, and put white napkins under them Even the charging cord is rolled up neatly

My family and I arrived around 330AM on a Friday night/Saturday morning. Service: 4/5 The Night staff was awesome, hospitality was IMPECCABLE! From the receptionist , bellhop helper, security, you name it! I wish I could remember their names but the receptionist was a young African American male about early-mid 20s! The morning crew and afternoon crew need some pointers from the night shift staff because they need some work. Rooms: 3/5 Our room had 2 full size beds, they were nice and spacious for all 4 of us (3 adults & 1 child). No microwave was an inconvenience but it wasn’t too big of a deal since our short was stay. Overall I would rate our stay a 4/5 (Would have been 3.5/5 had it not been for the service we experienced when checking in.

Our six night stay was surprisingly quiet. Population was sp**** in The South Loop. And there wasn’t a close by mall or large grocery store. But the main attractions like the zoo, art museum, science museum can be easily reached by cab. By 10am, there are almost no cars on the street on the weekend. Felt isolated and alone walking on the street. The district at night has it’s dangers. Robbery is rampant; but at least you won’t be killed. Friendly advice from the hotel. The room rate is high yet didnt include room slippers or toothbrushes. Water bottle wasnt free; charges were $6 a bottle. But I did enjoy the Food Hall on the ground floor and prices were reasonable at $10 for a fresh large salad or $14 for a pizza. The ramen noodles wasn’t too good though. The meat was dry and 8 slices too many. The Food Hall is only opened when the hotel has high occupancy (I was told). There is a small refrigerator in the room. Free of charge. We asked for a late checkout and the answer was a clear ‘No’. Even with a Marriott membership, an extra hour was not possible. Our room was very clean and with a good view; floor to ceiling window. Very comfortable stay. Any improvements? The front desk lady could have been more welcoming or friendlier maybe.
