We love this hotel so much. The breakfast is so yummy and the bed is very comfortable too. The hot spring is superb. The view is beautiful even if rainy weather.

The hotel itself felt to be a little too rich and classy than what I’m normally used to (not a bad thing). I didn’t give the full 5 for location mainly since the hotel sits on top of a hill within the city, walking is kinda out of question unless your up for winding incline up and down the hill. There are included transportations though which is nice and the trade off being the gorgeous views of the city and volcano (sakurajima) that sits across the water. There are also included restaurants, stores, bath, lounges, and even a convenience store built into the hotel too which was nice.

My wife and I really loved the Onsen with a view of Sakurajima as published. Onsen cleanliness was good too. Buffet breakfast was so complete with both Japanese and western style. Free shuttle is quite frequent although still took some time to get to town nonetheless. But overall we loved our stay!

There were many shuttle buses, and it was very convenient to travel between the city and the hotel. The room was compact but clean, the sink was spacious, and the TV was large, so it was very comfortable. The amenities were also good, with a scrubbing towel and a wide selection of tea bags and alcohol, which was more than what you would find in a normal hotel. The route to the bath was a little complicated and far away, but the view of Sakurajima from the open-air bath was amazing. In the morning, people gather at the open-air bath to watch the sunrise. The best thing about it was the breakfast. It had the most variety of food of any hotel I've ever stayed at. I couldn't taste it all, even if I ate a little at a time. And the taste was so good that I couldn't believe it was a buffet, and I could feel the quality of the ingredients and the careful preparation! I especially recommend the black pork shabu-shabu! The hospitality of the hotel staff was also good, and it was a very satisfying stay, even if it was a little pricey. I'd like to stay again someday and enjoy breakfast. Thank you very much.
