This location is absolutely stunning. Right on the beach, so close to the Ghost Ship, and fishing is available (get your own gear from the fishing shop on the pier). It’s in a more secluded and quiet area, away from the bustle, but still close enough to walk about twenty minutes to the pier, or rent a bike/taxi easily nearby. The food is good, service is wonderful!!! We absolutely loved staying here and would certainly return again if we go back to Koh Chang!

What an amazing place. We stayed here for 5 days in the bungalow with the sea view. The bungalow is spacious with all comforts you need. The hostess of the resort was very kind and helpful. With every question you had she was ready to help you. The beach is great and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Also nearby is a deserted resort with a ghostship and a very beautifull waterfall to see. If you go to koh chang and want to avoid the busy tourist places go visit The Tropical Beach resort. You won't regret it!

A hidden gem at the end of klong Kloi beach. Rooms were spacious, and while there is no pool, the resort is right on the beach and the sea is warm and calm. While we stayed the restaurant was not open, so all guests went to the next resort for breakfast. The staff informed us that the restaurant will reopen next year. They have a masseuse right on the beach who are well worth a visit! The only thing to consider is the distance from the main road, we were pretty mobile and happily took tuk tuk taxis to other parts of the island, but those with kids and/or a lot of luggage might find the location a bit remote. There is a place to rent motorbikes nearby (at a reasonable price) but personally, as this area of the island is very hilly, we chose to not rent and just used taxis instead.

Bad price-quality ratio Way too much money for this hotel. Spacious room without storage facilities. Dirty shower and toilet area. Lots of rocks at low tide. Campsite next to the hotel. Little to nothing to do. You can only get anywhere with a scooter. Scooter absolute necessity. Many hippie bars and restaurants near the hotel. Disinterested staff. Our washed clothes had been behind the counter for 2 days. Almost missed the boat to the next island because the staff had not arranged the pick up. Tropical beach resort did not meet our expectations.

The hotel environment is nice and very quiet, very suitable for vacation. The beach is very close to the hotel and there are many foreign tourists. You can read a book on the beach, which is very comfortable. The hotel service is also very thoughtful. In short, it is very cost-effective and I will stay here next time.

We just ate at the restaurant and the food was really bad, like cooked by someone completely unskilled. My wife is Thai so no confusion here. It was just a very disapointing meal. Pad Thai was wrongly made, wrong noodles and taste likevice. Green curry did not taste really at all.

What a paradise! It is the last hotel in the south. After this hotel is the burned gost ship. Between Tropical beach and the main road you can walk at the beach where there are several restaurants and a bar. You can also get massages at the beach. The restaurants have good quality food and the prices are nice. Everything closes at 22 o'clock. The hotel is clean, very nice and friendly staff, nice breakfast with western and Thai food. The houses are on the beach, it is a paradise! In the evening there is mostly some entertainment, like a BBQ with fire show or live music. We ate here a couple of times and it was good. We loved the curry panang and the spicy salat with shrimps. The bed sleeps very well and the shower / bathroom had so many space, we could easily shower together. If the hotel owner considers any investments, I would recommand soft chairs at the balkony and restaurant and a bigger fridge. But these are details! We just loved this place. Hope you can visit Koh Chang and stay in this hotel 🙏

This resort is at the very end of the resort strip on the west side of the island. We had a car and navigating here was a bit difficult, it would be a long taxi ride from the ferry pier. The rooms were spacious and exactly as depicted. Everything was clean and our villa was right on the beach. Towels were provided but room cleaning was scarce. They provide a large key lock for the villas which is a bit clunky to maneuver. The breakfast was amazing and the best we had in Thailand. The meals were also good and we ate here a few times. We did a snorkel tour from the hotel which was nice... but instructions weren't clear on how to connect to the Pier and was confusing. I would recommend this for being off the beaten path.

Very quiet and the furthest away from where the ferry docks. About 40 mins by road and then the road stops and you walk the 15 mins along the beach to the hotel. Suitcase needs to be transported separately by the hotel. Rooms spartan,(no cupboard or wardrobe or even a stool),bed comfy, bathroom big but basic. Nice little terrace to sit with a rack for towels. Only aircon but no fan sadly. Service friendly but we ate elsewhere mostly. For peace and quiet, it's perfect. Beach is lovely. WiFi surprisingly good.

Tropical is on Klong Kloi beach, right at the very end of the road on the southern most beach on Koh Chang. The bungalows are spacious with large comfortable beds and the air-conditioning works very well & is quiet. The photographs of the resort are accurate & up to date. Whilst they do not have a restaurant currently, breakfast is provided at the Coco Chacha restaurant just a 50m. walk on the beach & is excellent! The surrounding area is well kept & although the beach is a little rocky in front of Tropical, it's just a short walk to find perfectly sandy spots. as well as Coco Chacha restaurant, there are others a short walk along the beach. Cholly, the manager is a wonderful asset to the resort, as is Kong Tub & all the staff are friendly & helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. If you need supplies and drinks for your fridge, then I suggest you shop in Bang Bao before you check in or hire a scooter from them to get around.

A slice of paradise! If you are looking for somewhere tranquil and beautiful, with excellent hospitality, on a small budget, this is the place for you. I was looking for somewhere quiet to escape to and relax and this place exceeded my expectations. The bungalows are wonderfully designed and maintained. It felt very special to be able to walk 10 metres straight from bed into the water. The management of the hotel are brilliant. A big thank you to Cholly, Poon and their colleagues for making me feel so welcome and comfortable. When I go back to Koh Chang, I will definitely be going back there.

The Tropical Beach is basically the last accommodation on the east coast and is very relaxed and idyllically located on a very beautiful beach. It is a bit rocky right next to the accommodation, but at high tide you can also swim there. Around 300 meters further on, however, the beach becomes nice and sandy and free of stones. Overall, it is super quiet here, not crowded and very beautiful. It was particularly relaxed in the mornings and evenings. The resort is beautifully located right on the water under trees, the bungalows are also made of concrete and therefore quite cool throughout. We didn't need air conditioning at all. The facilities are functional, comfortable bed, kettle, etc. Only an additional seat inside would have been good, and perhaps a hammock outside. The bungalows are quite far apart, so you hardly notice the other guests. The complex is well maintained, the staff are very friendly and competent. Parking is possible directly in front of the resort in the shade. Due to the location, you should have a motor vehicle (scooter or car), as it is really at the end of the island. In the immediate vicinity, on the beach and in the "hinterland", there are some very nice restaurants, a mini market, etc. There is no ATM or anything like that, however, so you have to order (or have) a taxi there if you want to go to other places. The access from the harbor is great over the steep and winding roads. Very nice and helpful owner, who was there at the same time as us. Small deductions because of the things mentioned above in the bungalow, which would have made it even more comfortable. In addition, some services are perhaps a bit overpriced (laundry or extra bed, for example), but on the beach and the paths behind it there are a few places where, for example, laundry is available for 1/4 of the price ;-) Overall, we had 6 great days in this beautiful resort and can fully recommend a stay. Provided that you want it to be quiet and relaxed ;-) Thank you for the great time!
