I arrived in Haikou around the 12pm, and waited for a 14 hour transfer flight to Sydney. So I booked this hotel. The hotel is close to terminal 1, I took the airport bus from terminal 2 to terminal 1, just across the road and went to the shopping centre, you can see the sign to go to the hotel and take the lift to level 1, the lobby is there. So easy going there. Also you can waiting for hotel shuttle bus.

Like a cruise on land. You don’t need to go out of hotel but could enjoy all the fun. Do prepare lots of money as everything is expensive. A can of beer is 38 yuan comparing to 7 yuan at 7/11. Water park is amazing for big kids. Those shorter than 1.22cm have very very limited rides. The big splash water playground is under construction when we were there Room is clean and big! Loved the double basin!

This hotel is awesome. Location was perfect, the beach and all shops are nearby. Cleanliness was good. The cleaning service cleaned their room every day. Huge apartment, that was I’d loved so much. If I have any chance in the future, I’ll book this hotel definitely.

Great location on Da Dong Hai beach and a few minutes walk to the swimming area on the beach. We booked the suite with terrace and it was absolutely amazing with lots of space and a plunge pool for our 4 year old to play in. Room cleaned on command and Abby - the housekeeper - gave me her WeChat on day 1 and was always so helpful and attentive. She even went as far as getting information on things for us and even booking in a massage (which I highly recommend from Bella) who was petite but very strong and knew how to hit the right spots. Breakfast and dinner were fine with plenty of choice of both Chinese and western with beers and soft drinks available too. My only gripe was being told the pool opens at 10am and upon explaining to the management that the pool is the main feature for any holiday resort along with the room, when you have a child that wakes up early, the pool should be available early like every other hotel we have stayed in and to be fair to the management, they agreed for it to be open for use from 8am. The tv package in the room was great and my son had plenty of choice of English cartoons including Peppa Pig. I would say this hotel is a solid 4 star hotel though and not a 5 star like the Shanghaitian Hotel next door where we’ve stayed before. The pool could do with some more deck chairs as they are quite limited. The pool could also do with some signs to tell the Chinese guests not to spit around the pool or even inside the pool which is disgusting and really off putting to foreign guests - which the hotel has a lot of! The room/suite could do with a few more power ports/usb and hooks in the bathroom. The toilet is very far away from the pool, you have to go all the way back inside the hotel almost to reception to use the toilet so if you are soaking wet but need the toilet then this could be dangerous and also encourages guests to release themselves in the pool instead which is unhygienic. All in all though, we would definitely stay here again.

Well-located and value for money. The room was reasonably spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the beach. The wifi was also excellent, which was important since we were working online. However, the bathroom had a curtain, no door, which wasn't very comfortable. Also, there was no laundry room as advertised on its page. Elevators are extremely slow, so allow enough time for this. Communication was a challenge at times, which was surprising since most of the guests at the hotel were foreigners.

The hotel is situated in a very touristy area. Many Russian-speaking tourists. There is a mall by the hotel and a food court area across the street, the beach is within walking distance. The room was clean it came with basic amenities, I would take an extension lead to charge multiple devices. The elevators are very slow and if you want to relax by the pool and find a place to sit you need to go early as the seats get taken fast. The gym area has enough equipment to get the job done. Check-in and check-out were very fast, we had no problems. If you cannot speak Chinese they will translate. There were a few rude entitled tourists. Be courteous and respectful to the workers and people trying to help, and make an effort to use their language either via a translation app or learn a few words. You will see the instant appreciation and respect for trying. If you go to the front of the pineapple and walk left for about 5/10min you can find some Western restaurants called the Dolphin, Little India and an Italian place. If you want coffee early in the morning there is a Starbucks on that same road that opens at 7:00 am. Overall it was a good stay for a business trip with no issues.

The hotel from which due to its price and some other reviews we expected the least, turned out to be the best to a point that if we ever decide to go back to Sanya it would probably be one of our top choices. We only booked for one night before our early morning flight but it turned out to be a very positive surprise. Mangrove resort is a set of separate towers making a circle inside of which is a water park and a lot of bars, shops and restaurants. Each tower has its own pools, which in case of Buddha Tower were located on the third floor terrace and were quite decent although I guess in peak times they might feel too small for all the rooms in the tower. Still when we used it, it was more than okay. The rooms are a bit old, shower door is creaking like it has serious arthritis, but overall it was a good and very functional room with a nice view of the pool, water park and the inner courtyard. High point of this place is that it feels like you and your kids could do something here for days. Bars, restaurants, live music, pottery workshop, a really cool dinosaur museum, water park, art workshops and probably more we haven't even discovered are all inside the resort's area.

We have been staying in the hotel for 4 days and it was excellent! The location is perfect, the hotel is clean, big and comfortable, room design is stylish. Breakfasts were great! The staff is very polite and kind! Lucas from the front desk was helping all our stay! We lost medicine in the room after checking out, but Lucas helped us and sent us our losts. He is so kind and professional! Thank Holiday inn and suited, and special sincerely for Lucas!

Overall satisfied with the hotel. Room is big, clean and bright with partial seaview and a bathtub at the balcony. Walking distance to First Market and Wang Hao Supermarket. Our butler Kiki was extremely helpful, she assisted to call and made reservation for our helicopter ride as the nearest base was closed unexpectedly. Breakfast was nothing to shout about, with local and a little western style, freshness of salads and desserts could be better. If you don’t mind a hotel without beach front but conveniently located, this is a good choice.

At the last stop of this trip to Hainan, the hotel we stayed in was undoubtedly a highlight of the trip. It has a superior geographical location and convenient transportation, which has brought great convenience to our trip. We are satisfied with the completeness of the hotel facilities. It is worth mentioning that the self-service laundry service provided by the hotel provides us with great convenience, allowing us to easily deal with the problem of clothing cleaning after playing. The hotel's breakfast options are rich and varied, whether it is hot food, cold food or various beverages. The hotel is situated in a wonderful area of the city. Generally, the common areas are well-maintained, and the service offered is of a high standard. The rooms are large and spacious. In our case, the view of the sea and Haikou's skyline was marvelous. The breakfast was good but not at the level of what we experienced at the Intercontinental in Beijing. As for areas of improvement, I would suggest adding smart TVs and hiring more staff proficient in English.

Fantastic - I extended my stay! Would recommend the premium room over the deluxe Seaview room, much better layout and views😍 Nikki was professional, very helpful, and provided fantastic service. She was always available when I needed her! Also 吴玉姐 was very efficient, the room was always cleaned very well, presentable and she spoke English and helped me with my mandarin!!

Great location. Small but enough space for a short stay. Even had a desk and side table. Clean and with great view from the roof over the old city streets. Nice charm. Big plus. Elevator to get up to the room with lots of luggage. 🤣🤩.

We stayed three nights at Hilton Haikou and got the residence apartment. The view was gorgeous at lvl 29, the bed was comfy and room was spacious. It was very easy to take a didi car to qi Lou old street and haikou century bridge. There could be a bit of a jam during peak hour so do be mindful. At the back of the hotel, it's linked to a mall with a supermarket and coconut steamboat so it's pretty convenient. Buffet breakfast was yum, the waffles were the best compared to other hotels at Sanya and ocean flower island, the hainan rice noodle was delicious and the freshly fried youtiao. We wish there could be more variety but overall we enjoyed our stay

Almost ok except my room the tv not work call housekeeping to fixed they fixed aout one hour and tell me not work and give me to remote stand on behind tv to select tv channel and til to mid light and no excuse but anyway to front counter staff is very nice to answer my all question is ok next time will come. Again.

Free, buckwheat pillows are provided within minutes. The anti-slip handrails in the bath reflect the original intention and service concept. The location of the hotel is very good. We stayed a night at the hotel, the room we stayed was clean and hygiene, the front desk lady is so helpful and friendly.We so happy Trip.com provided free hotel breakfast and the hotel breakfast has various choice and delicious. We also tried the famous Lao Pa Cha just 200m nearby the hotel. We have good stayed at the hotel.

This time I went to Wenchang for a tight business trip. For the sake of convenient transportation, I specifically found a hotel (Meilin Holiday Inn) that was closer to the high-speed rail station. Even though my husband and I are far away from home, the housekeeper Anni has provided us the hospitality by recommending us places of interests and a place where we could have a good meal. She even helped us book the high speed rail tickets together with her colleague Mindy and reminded me gently to check out on time to catch the train. Kudos to Anni and Mindy!

The receptionist at the hotel was very enthusiastic. When we parked in front of the hotel and it was raining, he took us in with an umbrella and helped us carry our suitcases. Conveniently locate and easy access to amenities. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel is very dated. Though the bedroom was decently clean, the bathroom was a mess. It had stain marks all over the walls. The groutings in the shower cubicle had mild dew stains and so was the anti-slip bath mat. It is definitely not fit to be used. The foldable wooden windows above the wash basin had rotted and the paint was coming off. Coordination between front office and dining room staff was poor resulting in me being questioned about my eligibility to have breakfast. A moment of embarrassment. However the manager apologised and sent us a complimentary fruit platter and a pot tea.

This stay just in time for the Wenchang Overseas Chinese Culture Festival. I thought the hotel would have no time to take care of individual guests. I didn’t expect to receive a call from Ms. Fan, the guest manager of the front office, patiently asked about the needs of the stay. After learning that it was a parent-child trip, we also upgraded the parent-child room for us. Children like it very much; Due to the delay of the return plan, I applied for a late check-out.
