This hotel is a GEM!!!! I'm so glad that I booked this hotel! This hotel gives a very welcoming feel right from the moment I arrived. Friendly staff and they all spoke good English. The breakfast spread was fantastic. In short, this is nothing less than any 5-star hotel. This is a great attraction in Changsha. It’s located on an island and you can take the metro to get there, the station exit is literally in the park. Once you get there you can begin walking or buy a ticket for the in park transportation, which I highly recommend especially in that heat 🥵 but of course you will still do some walking because they stop a little distance from the statue. I figured that visiting a mosque is the only thing to do in terms of sightseeing at 8am. The museums that my friend and I wanted to visit would not open until 10am. The Minor Mosque is a new mosque in Tashkent. Construction completed in 2014 before the Eid al-Fitr holiday. It has the capacity of accommodating 2,500 prayers at once. Known as the “White Mosque” in Tashkent, the Minor Mosque lived amply up to its name on the day of our visit. Its white marble exterior exuded an air of holiness. It stood pure, speckless and sparkly under the brilliance of the sun’s early rays. There are two minarets in the height of 38 meters. The structure consists also of two large portals, beautifully decorated with geometric patterns in blue and white, as well as Quran scripts. Although Uzbekistan is not considered fundamentalist, as an Islam country, the faith is well alive and practiced in Uzbekistan. The sinews of faith do bind the cultural fabric of the Muslim majority in Uzbekistan. This fact is seen when we witness the prayers at the mosques in the country. A word must be given here about the name of the mosque. To English speakers one would associate the Minor Mosque with the size of the mosque, and naturally wonders if there is indeed a “grand mosque” or “major mosque” as its counterpart. The Minor Mosque’s name is actually a geographical reference, as this part of Central Asia was known as Asia Minor in the ancient days. The Minor Mosque is, in fact, one of the largest mosques and religious centers in Tashkent and Uzbekistan. At first, we're hesitant to book through Trip.com. We check a lot of platforms, different websites and even try to negotiate with an agent to book our vacation but at the end, we put our trust to Trip.com and book everything through it. Everything went smooth and easy as for our 1st travel. I will sort everything for those who want to go to Boracay with limited budget. We got a good flight which is PAL and Cebu Pacific, book our hotel which is La Carmela de Boracay, it's actually a package (hotel + flight) 3D2N which cost us 11k total for 2 person (depends on the hotel). Trip.com will give you choices of hotels you want to stay in and the prices vary. For the Airport-Hotel drop off, we book the package which includes the drop off and Island hopping for a day with a lunch buffet (2k each) we also give tips to our tour guide which was really hands on and super kind. We didn't have to go through the lines and payments. It was super easy. 2k was worth it. Also, no need to worry about the breakfast because La Carmela de Boracay have their own breakfast buffet. On our 1st day we spent it roaming around the place, Boracay is really beautiful. We find places we can eat, and something we can do. At night we went party, prices depends on you but for us we spent at least 2k for our dinner and drinks and we're good. We spent our 2nd day for island hopping which includes lunch buffet, snorkeling, swimming, crystal kayak, a lot of pictures and also braided our hair. The tour guide pick us up to our hotel and arrange everything (that's the advantage of having a tour guide). After all the adventures, we take some rest to our hotel and swim to the hotel's swimming pool, eat some meryenda like the puto bumbong and bibingka, it was delicious. At night we celebrated 🫶🏻 It was wonderful. I recommend eating at MESA and ANDOKS. For our 3rd day, we went to laundry shop for our clothes and buy some pasalubong before we go back home. It was one of the first places to appear on our must-visit list, so we decided to check it out on our last day in Cappadocia. The shop looked unique and beautiful from the outside when we arrived. Located in downtown Göreme, it stood out from the surrounding buildings due to the rugs decorating the walls everywhere in front of the shop, giving it a really cool appearance. When we went inside, there were no other tourists, possibly because it was still early in the morning. The staff working there informed us that there would be a fee of $35 for two people to take photos and explore the shop. They were setting up something in the office, which resembled a studio. They also mentioned that there were three more rooms in the building filled with beautiful rugs for us to explore. We decided to pay the fee and explore the shop while taking some photos. The place was really impressive, almost like a staged set with an abundance of beautiful rugs and props, perfect for capturing stunning photos. However, the downside was that the shop felt quite small for the $35 price tag for two people. The three rooms filled with rugs inside the building were also quite small. We ended up finishing our visit in less than 15 minutes. Despite this, we managed to get some cool photos, and based on our research, this shop is considered one of the landmarks to visit when traveling to Cappadocia. So, mission accomplished!
