Wat Intharawat (Wat Ton Kwen)
Wat Intharawat, also known as Wat Ton Kwen, in Chiang Mai is truly a hidden gem! I recently had a photo shoot there, and it was an unforgettable experience. The temple’s serene beauty and traditional Lanna architecture are absolutely captivating.
Right in front of the temple, there’s a shop that rents Lanna costumes – the only one in the area. The rental fee includes hairstyling and dressing assistance, although makeup is not included. Wearing the traditional attire really enhances the experience and makes for stunning photos that capture the essence of Lanna culture.
I highly recommend hiring the photographer as a solo traveller. The prices are more than reasonable. If you’re planning to visit, don’t miss the chance to immerse yourself in the beauty of this temple. And, of course, make sure to dress in traditional Lanna attire for memorable and beautiful photos!

Discovering Chiang Mai: Elephants, Temples, and Timeless Charm
#chiangmai is a city that captures your heart with its mix of natural beauty, spiritual depth, and rich culture. During my visit, I had the chance to experience some of its most iconic attractions, each leaving a lasting impression on me.
One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, a haven for rescued elephants. Unlike other places, this sanctuary emphasizes ethical tourism. Watching these majestic creatures roam freely, splashing in the mud and foraging for food, was a powerful reminder of the importance of conservation. Feeding them and observing their gentle nature up close was a truly unforgettable experience. It felt good knowing that my visit supported a place that genuinely cares for these animals.
Chiang Mai is also a city of temples, and no visit would be complete without exploring its spiritual landmarks. The two most renowned temples, Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang, transported me to a world of intricate architecture and serene beauty. Wat Phra Singh’s golden stupas and ornate carvings are breathtaking, while Wat Chedi Luang’s ancient, towering structure tells a story of resilience, standing tall even after centuries of weathering.
Lastly, the Silver Temple (Wat Sri Suphan) is a gem like no other. The intricate silver craftsmanship adorning the temple’s exterior is mesmerizing. It glistens in the sunlight, almost as if it’s alive, and the details of the carvings are a testament to the incredible skill of local artisans. Though only men can enter the inner sanctum due to tradition, the beauty of the exterior alone makes it worth a visit.
Chiang Mai offered me moments of awe, reflection, and a deep appreciation for both nature and culture. It’s a destination I would recommend to anyone seeking authentic and meaningful experiences.
First Lohaprasart of world, Lanna look
Loha Prasat Sri Mueang Pong is the first Lohaprasart in Lanna style. The palace is in white which cross with the top of the palace which is in gold. The palace is on the mountain in Hangdong, Chiangmai.
You can drive and park the car at the foot of the mountain. And go with the red car. You cannot drive your car to the palace because it was too steep.
At the top, you can seen the view and pray Buddha. Inside the palace, I feel shady and peaceful in mind. You can take your time as long as you want

Lost in Bang! Not a secret shop on Chang Moi Road next to a famous cafe
Long Pang shop, fried food, snacks that are not playful, eat and feel very full, 1 box is good.. Put the menu and pictures that we ordered for a brief look.
Location: Behind the Wai shop, next to a famous cafe on Chang Moi Road, Chiang Mai. How good is the service? Sitting and chilling with coffee, my eyes fell on a small red shop with delivery service, parked for 10 minutes, more than 10 cars. I couldn't stand it anymore... We rushed in, ordered fried snacks, ate and ate, didn't play at all. Crispy tofu, good sauce, old-fashioned beans, not stingy with beans... The younger brother served chrysanthemum tea for free, the feeling was like old-fashioned chrysanthemum tea from a refrigerator. After eating for a while, the younger brother served tissues again. I was very impressed. Next time, it will probably be the lava bun menu. Just the picture of the menu makes me hungry. 😆😆😆

A Peaceful Escape at Royal Park Rajapruek
Royal Park Rajapruek turned to be a lovely place to visit during my stay in Chiang Mai. I genuinely enjoyed my time there. A Visit to Wat Chiang Man: Chiang Mai's First Temple
#thailandtrip #chiangmai #temple
Wat Chiang Man, built in 1300, holds the honor of being Chiang Mai's first temple and is a testament to the rich heritage of the Lanna Kingdom. One of its most captivating structures is the Chedi Chang Lom (Elephant Chedi), a magnificent stupa supported by 15 life-sized stone elephants. This architectural style, symbolizing strength and protection, is a hallmark of Lanna design, and the elephants here remain remarkably well-preserved, making it a must-see highlight of the temple.
Wat Chiang Man is also home to two of the oldest and most revered Buddha images in the Lanna Kingdom. The Phra Sila Buddha, a small bas-relief statue said to have been brought from Sri Lanka, dates back over a thousand years. The other, Phra Sae Tang Khamani, is a jade Buddha image believed to have been crafted for the King of Lamphun before finding its way to Chiang Mai. Both treasures are enshrined in an intricately decorated altar, safeguarded behind ornate railings. Though not immediately noticeable, their historical and spiritual significance make them well worth seeking out during a visit to this serene and storied temple.
Wat Phra That Doi Kham: A Sacred Gem in Chiang Mai
#thailandtrip #chiangmai #temple
Wat Phra That Doi Kham, or the "Temple of the Golden Mountain," is one of Thailand’s most revered temples, known for its miraculous reputation. Nestled atop a mountain on the outskirts of Chiang Mai, the temple offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the lush green valley below. Its history dates back over 1,300 years, originally built during the reign of Queen Chamadevi in the 7th century as a modest Mon-style temple. Today, it is famed for its 17-meter-tall seated Buddha statue and the reclining Buddha, both prominent features that draw visitors seeking blessings and spiritual solace.
Despite its serene ambiance and historical significance, the temple is bustling with Thai devotees, who come to honor their promises to the Phra Chao Tanjai Buddha image by offering garlands of jasmine flowers. These garlands, often purchased from the countless roadside stalls en route to the temple, are believed to signify gratitude for wishes granted. This unique tradition has made Wat Phra That Doi Kham the temple with the most jasmine offerings in Thailand. The journey to the temple, though challenging due to its remote location, is richly rewarding, not only for its spiritual fulfillment but also for the magnificent views it offers over Chiang Mai.
Unique spot
The unique artistic environment makes it a great place to relax and chit-chat with friends. Love the atmosphere of this cafe. Tiramisu is nice and so do their coffee. Before 3pm already so many people queue and wait outside which really can see how much people love their Tiramisu.
But one problem is this area is really hard to find parking space. Have to drive for a few round only able to get a parking lot. Will come again if i can find parking lot when passby.
