If you are looking for interesting places to have a fun night out, I highly recommend this interactive games shop called King & The Pawn! It is perfect for families, groups of friends or even a couple date night. Make a reservation with them and feel free to use any of the many board games available. The staff will even introduce games and explain how to play them. Some of them also facilitate the games and had fun along with us! Food and drinks can also be ordered to enjoy while playing the games. We had such a good time bonding with each other. Only wished the space would’ve been larger so it won’t feel so squeezy! One of the things to experience in Vietnam is dining in a little alleyway eatery! This one is Choi Oi Noodle located at Le Thanh Ton and they specialize in Japanese ramen. The tonkotsu ramen is a definite must-try here. Its pork bone broth is so flavourful and hearty, perfect to eat in the rainy weather. We also tried the gyoza which tasted awesome. It is open from 11am to 2.30am on most days and until 3am on other days. There was a queue when we went as there aren’t many seats available, so be prepared to wait a little. The Christmas season is upon Raffles City shopping mall! You can really feel the festive vibes and atmosphere just walking through the different spaces. Many decorations are up and there are even interactive photo booths for the perfect Instagram opportunity! I highly recommend this mall for shopping and dining as many big brands can be found here, such as Venchi Chocolate, Bacha Coffee and Armani. Also, this mall is connected to both Fairmont and Swissotel so it is very convenient to stay there! Frying Fish Club is a fairly new fish and chips shop located at Owen Road in Singapore. They have different flavours to choose from, like seaweed, mentaiko and original! The ambience is quite cosy, with a slight modern Japanese inspiration. It was nice and quiet on a weeknight. If you are feeling up for it, you can even go for the premium fish that is specially flown in from Japan! It is an oily type of fish though. We ordered some sides as well and highly recommend the delicious fried cauliflower. The sauce dip it came with was very savoury too. I was surprised to learn how easy it is to get to the Buddha head embedded in a banyan tree. Listed as a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE and famously advertised by many, this is a great day trip! Deciding how to get there and back, what we wanted to see, we opted to rent a motorbike in Bangkok and ride it all the way, sightseeing all day. The nearby sights are as spectacular as visiting the never rebuilt ancient city. Disneyland is a great place that is family-friendly to visit! We went to the one in Tokyo and it was quite crowded. One of the rides that we thoroughly enjoyed and is highly recommended for children is the Winnie the Pooh ride. The ride seats are moved by magnetic tracks so you feel super immersed in the colourful world. It will definitely be engaging for the kids! The Food Peeps Coffee & Deli is located in the heritage Chinatown district and is a popular brunch spot with the locals! They don’t take reservations so an important tip is to head there early to put your name on their manual guest list. The menu is largely western styled mains like eggs, waffles, toast and bagels. Everything we tried was truly delicious! They also have a range of artisanal drinks like earl grey lychee tea, very refreshing. Note that the deli does not have air-conditioning so it can get a little warm inside. Can’t get enough of white sands and clear blue waters? Maldives is where you need to visit! One of the resorts we tried was Outrigger Resort and it had beautiful beaches. You can also rent snorkelling equipment and snorkel along the beach too. If you want to swim but prefer to do it in a pool, there is a massive one located in front of Edgewater restaurant. This cafe called Day & Night Of Phuket is a highly-rated cafe situated in Talat Yai close to Old Phuket Town. I was completely blown away by the decor and design of the place. What a sophisticated ambience it felt like! In terms of the food, some dishes were nicer than others. They have a wide variety in their menu that covers western and local Thai cuisine. You can also order yummy cocktails from the bar. Opening hours are 11am to 12am every day. In the evenings, they also have a lovely live band that plays chill bossa nova top 40s song covers. Designed in a minimalistic fashion, Comfee Cafe is an inviting space for people to enjoy coffee and snacks with friends! It is situated in Old Phuket Town and serves very delectable pastries. We had a ham and cheese croissant and a fudgy chocolate cake, both of which tasted amazing! The coffee was okay though. During our visit to Phuket, we stayed at Courtyard Marriott hotel and found a quaint little cafe just a 5-minute walk away! It specializes in Italian cuisine like pizzas and pastas but what was awesome was that they actually make their own fresh pasta. We tried the vongole linguine and bolognese, both tasted pretty decent. Dessert was the creamy and fluffy strawberry cheesecake. I enjoyed the ambience here as well because it was bright and cheery. My Cozy Room is an award-winning spa located just off the main Orchard Road shopping belt! It is directly connected to Orchard Hotel so if you are staying there, this is really convenient to access. The treatments are in spacious rooms that are usually scented with calming essential oils. It makes for a very relaxing experience and the staff there are also very professional and friendly.
