The event aimed to galvanize collective action, strengthen legal frameworks, and raise awareness to create a safer and more equitable society. Mr. Mukhtar Ahmad Ali, Executive Director of CPDI, highlighted the persistent issue of gender-based violence in Pakistan. Despite numerous laws, he emphasized the critical need to bridge the gap between legislation and implementation, particularly addressing deep-rooted societal norms and institutional structures that perpetuate violence.
