Flutter Karachi, Pakistan

Flutter Meetup Karachi proved to be the biggest Flutter conference of this season, with over 250 people attending the event at Folio3 in Karachi, Pakistan. This was possible because of all of the people in the community who have been following us & supporting us throughout the journey! The event started off with Keynote from the two founders of Flutter Karachi (Waleed Arshad & Asadullah Bin Yousuf 🇵🇸) who laid down the foundations of this community five years ago. They discussed how being transparent as organizers has always gotten Flutter Karachi all the respect from the community. Asadullah shared some amazing insights about always exploring new tech & not imposing your opinions on others. It was followed by Wajahat Karim 🇵🇰's talk about Focusing, screen times, and remote jobs. Syed Khawar Hussain from Folio3 shared some amazing details about Flutter web, and when & where to use them. Ruqaiya Sattar (She / Her) showed how important accessibility is for mobile apps, and lastly we had Muhammad Saeed Younus from Folio3 who shared some great ways to spice up your Flutter UI with animations! As an appreciation for people associated with our previous two events (Flutter Flash was featured at Google), we had all of those volunteers/guests/speaker/teams invited as special guests at this event where they sat & enjoyed the event and were served with high quality 7-course meal. The previous events were globally recognised because of all of these people, so this time we wanted them to not work, and just enjoy the talks, ambience, food, and Folio3’s amazing office space! We are extremely grateful to Folio3 Software Folio3 Pakistan who made all of this possible by collaborating with us as Venue Partners, this was one of the most liked events of all times! Folio3’s management, from the parking guards, to the people who were looking into the on ground administrative stuff, everyone was highly functional, responsive, & best at what they did! After a very long time, I will be hosting/presenting at a Flutter Karachi, Pakistan event physically, this time sharing the stage with one of my early mentors from TPS. We will be discussing about the community in general, how far we have come, we will also have a separate appreciation for all the volunteers, managers, speakers, collaborators, who have helped us in the past events which were featured at Google last year. Flutter Karachi was founded in 2018 by a group of tech enthusiasts from Karachi. This Saturday, two of them are going to open the event with a short keynote, some community updates & a lot of appreciation for all the people who have been with us together in all these years supporting us in the cause for uplifting the developer community in Karachi, Pakistan. Asadullah bin Yousuf is a tech enthusiast, a chief architect, & a coding geek by passion. With over 16 years of experience in the tech industry, he has led engineering teams, built scalable software, worked on diverse tech stacks, & managed cross-functional teams. He has been the senior most member at Flutter Karachi & have played significant role in laying the foundations of Flutter Karachi when it was being conceived. Waleed Arshad is currently leading Flutter Karachi. He is a Senior Software Engineer, Founder of Flutter Xchange, an Author for a Flutter-related book, & a Google Developer Expert in Flutter. He will also be your host for Flutter Meetup Karachi this Saturday.
