About us

The Pakistan Microfinance Neywork (PMN) is the national association for organizations involved in the provision of microfinance services to low income individuals in Pakistan. The mission of the PMN is to support the sector, especially retail microfinance providers, to enhance scale, quality, diversity, and sustainability in order to facilitate the provision of inclusive financial services. The PMN supports its member MFPs by conducting research, and gathering market intelligence. The PMN leverages its findings for spearheading advocacy on behalf of its members with the central bank of Pakistan and other stakeholders (primarily donors, and investors), and organizaing trainings and workshops. The PMN is also spearheading initiatives on consumer protection such as the establishment of a credit information bureau and developing a Consumer Protection Code. For its role in facilitating the microfinance industry of Pakistan, the PMN received the Global Best Network Award in 2009.
