  • PAKISTAN NAVY SHIPS VISIT OMAN DURING OVERSEAS DEPLOYMENT Pakistan Navy Ships TABUK and RAH NAWARD visited Port Sultan Qaboos, Muscat, Oman. Upon arrival at the port, Pakistan Navy ships were warmly received by Omani authorities. During the visit, Mission Commander, along with the Commanding Officers, held meetings with naval leadership of Oman. He called on Director General Ops and Plans Royal Navy of Oman, Commander Maritime Security Centre and Commandant Said Bin Sultan Naval Base. During these interactions, matters of mutual interest, Navy-to-Navy engagements, and cooperation in maritime security were discussed. Ambassadors, diplomats and Military Attaches of various countries also visited the ships. Pakistan Navy Ships were opened for visitors, wherein large number of Pakistani community including students from Pakistan School, Muscat visited onboard PN ships. Following the port call, PNS TABUK conducted a Passage Exercise with a Royal Oman Navy ship AL SHAMIKH. The exercise at sea aimed to enhance interoperability between the two navies and promote shared learning through coordinated activities. Pakistan and Oman are maritime neighbours and frequent visits of dignitaries, port calls by ships, joint exercises and coordinated patrols are regular feature. The visit of PNS TABUK and RAH NAWARD will further strengthen bilateral relations between the two navies.

  • PAKISTAN NAVY TAKES OVER COMMAND OF COMBINED TASK FORCE-151 FOR THE 11th TIME Pakistan Navy has assumed command of Multinational Combined Task Force 151 (CTF-151) from Turkish Navy during a Change of Command Ceremony held at HQ US NAVCENT, Bahrain. Commodore Sohail Ahmad Azmie of Pakistan Navy took over the command from Rear Admiral Rustu Sezer of Turkish Navy. Speaking on the occasion, the Commander of Combined Task Force-151 (CCTF-151), Commodore Sohail Ahmad Azmie, assured that his team is fully prepared to shoulder this challenging responsibility efficiently. He emphasized Pakistan Navy’s belief in collaborative efforts to maintain security and stability, ensuring uninterrupted flow of maritime traffic through this critical region. He added that Pakistan Navy’s active participation in CMF’s maritime security efforts reflects this commitment. Commodore Sohail also appreciated and congratulated the outgoing Commander, Rear Admiral Rustu Sezer, and his team for their dedicated efforts in achieving the objectives during their tenure. Pakistan Navy holds the unique distinction of commanding CTF-151 for the eleventh time. In July last year, Pakistan Navy also assumed command of CTF-150 for the thirteenth time. These achievements reflect Pakistan Navy’s dedication to maritime peace and stability in the region and the trust placed in it by partner nations. The Change of Command Ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Bahrain, Mr. Saqib Rauf; the Ambassador of Turkiye to Bahrain, Mrs. Ayse Hilal Sayan Koytak; the Commander of Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), Vice Admiral George M. Wikoff; Deputy Commander of the Turkish Fleet, Vice Admiral Ibrahim Ozden Kocer; and distinguished guests, including senior diplomats and representatives of navies operating under the CMF.

  • PAKISTAN NAVY CLINCHES CHAMPIONS TITLE OF 32ND NATIONAL SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 The closing ceremony of the 32nd National Shooting Championship was held at Pakistan Navy Shooting Range in Karachi. Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Pakistan Navy emerged as the champions of 32nd National Shooting Championship 2025, securing a tally of 20 Gold, 17 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals, while Pakistan Army claimed second place. Maqbool Hussain and Rasam Gul from Pakistan Navy were declared overall best shooters in the male and female categories, respectively. Notably, 7 new national records were set during the competition in the Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun categories. Chief of the Naval Staff commended the efforts and dedication of the participants, awarding medals and trophies to the best performers. He also acknowledged the hard work of organizers, sponsors, and participants who contributed to the success of the event. Admiral Naveed Ashraf highlighted that state-of-the-art facilities at Pakistan Navy Shooting Range remain available to sports shooting enthusiasts and expressed hope that these talented players will soon bring international recognition to Pakistan. The week-long championship featured 16 events conducted in accordance with the latest rules of the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF), under the auspices of the National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP). Approximately 350 shooters representing Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Police, WAPDA, provincial teams from Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as the Higher Education Commission, Federal Rifle Association of Pakistan, and various shooting clubs, participated in the championship. The ceremony was attended by civil and military officials, prominent members of Pakistan’s shooting fraternity, and media representatives.

  • PAKISTAN NAVY AND TURKISH NAVY CONDUCT BILATERAL EXERCISE TURGUTREIS-XI IN EAST MEDITERRANEAN SEA Pakistan Navy and Turkish Navy successfully conducted bilateral exercise TURGUTREIS-XI in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. The TURGUTREIS series of bilateral exercises is named in honour of the great Ottoman Admiral Turgut Reis, symbolizing a shared maritime legacy and strong naval ties between the two brotherly nations. Pakistan Navy’s recently commissioned ship, PNS YAMAMA, participated in the exercise during her maiden voyage from Romania to Pakistan. The ship was joined by Turkish Navy vessels TCG BUYUKADA, TCG DERYA, and TNF SH-70 helicopter. The exercise was meticulously planned to enhance interoperability between the two navies, as participating units engaged in a variety of maritime operations and tactical maneuvers. Throughout the exercise, both navies reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening cooperation in addressing emerging maritime challenges and ensuring regional maritime security. The collaboration underscores the shared objective of maintaining safe and secure global commons for the benefit of all.

  • LT GEN SM KAMRUL HASSAN, PRINCIPAL STAFF OFFICER OF ARMED FORCES DIVISION OF BANGLADESH VISITS PAKISTAN NAVY UNITS IN KARACHI Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hassan, Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division of Bangladesh, visited Pakistan Navy units in Karachi. During his visit, he called on senior officials of Pakistan Navy, including Commander Pakistan Fleet, Rear Admiral Abdul Munib; Commander Coast, Rear Admiral Faisal Amin; and Managing Director of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW), Rear Admiral Salman Ilyas. During these meetings, matters of mutual interest and avenues for enhancing bilateral naval collaboration between the two countries were discussed. The visiting dignitary lauded Pakistan Navy’s contributions to maintaining maritime security in the region.
