𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 (𝗣𝗜𝗣) 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮 "𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻" 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗦𝗚𝗖 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗛 In cooperation with the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat For Protection Against Harassment At Workplace (FOSPAH), PIP hosted an #engaging and educational #awareness workshop on "Workplace Harassment and Discrimination" at Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) on December 5, 2024. The purpose of the seminar was to inform #workers and #stakeholders on the legal framework for preventing and addressing gender #discrimination and workplace #harassment that is given by the Protection Against Harassment at the Workplace Act, 2022. The function of FOSPAH, the obligations of #employers and #workers, the reporting process, and victim assistance systems were among the main subjects. To demonstrate how well these mechanisms work to uphold justice, real-world case studies were presented. The significance of promoting gender #equality and sustaining a safe, harassment-free work #environment were underlined throughout the discussion. SSGC gave a hearty welcome and opened the session by #highlighting the importance of these programs and the necessity of ongoing awareness to foster a #supportive and #inclusive workplace culture for their more than 100 employees Ms. Sabika Regional Head of Sindh and her team Ms. Aasia Anas and Mr. Muhammad Aliyan from the FOSPAH team led the training. They gave participants a thorough rundown of the #operational and #procedural facets of dealing with workplace harassment. Practical advice on the complaint procedure, dispute resolution #procedures, and various legal protections as part of their seminar. Ms. Farah Ovais Enquiry Committee Member of SSGC, gave the concluding comments and emphasized the company's dedication to providing a fair and courteous work #environment for all workers. To reaffirm the organization's commitment to these ideals, he also advocated for frequent #awareness campaigns, recommending that they be #conducted continuously. An interesting Q&A session that allowed #attendees to engage with the FOSPAH team and clarify many elements of the issue finished the event. AGM Mr. Waheed Jumani, of SSGC, has exchanged the #souvenirs and honored the shield from Ms. Sabika Shah, FOSPAH.

Petroleum Institute of Pakistan (PIP), which represents all segments of the petroleum industry, was established in 1963 for the purpose of promoting and coordinating the activities of oil and gas sector in Pakistan. The session, which aimed to educate #employees and #stakeholders, focused on the legal framework provided under the Protection Against Harassment at the Workplace Act, 2022, to prevent and address workplace #harassment and gender #discrimination. Key topics included the role of FOSPAH, responsibilities of employers and employees, the reporting mechanism, and victim support structures. Practical case studies were shared to illustrate the #effectiveness of these systems in ensuring justice. The session emphasized the importance of fostering gender #equality and maintaining a secure, harassment-free #workplace environment. The session commenced with a warm welcome and opening remarks by Mr. Nadeem Nazir, HOD-HR at ARL, who underscored the significance of such initiatives and the need for continuous #awareness to create a positive and inclusive #workplace culture. The training was conducted by Ms. Meher Jamy and Ms. Ammani Abbas, from the FOSPAH team. They provided participants with a detailed overview of the procedural and #operational aspects of addressing workplace #harassment. Their session included practical #guidance on the complaint process, resolution mechanisms, and available legal safeguards. The closing remarks were delivered by ARL CEO, Mr. Adil Khattak, who highlighted ARL’s commitment to ensuring a #respectful and #equitable workplace for all employees.
