SIUT recently hosted an impactful workshop on the “Role of Physician Assistant” and “OR Technician” in transplantation. Physician Assistants and OR Technicians are integral members of the transplant team, and this session highlighted their critical roles in ensuring the success of complex procedures. The workshop included short presentations on transplant theater protocols, OR-specific infection prevention, vascular training from a physician assistant’s perspective, and managing electrosurgical and transplant-specific instruments. The program concluded with a post-workshop assessment and certificate distribution.
