About us
We are proud to announce that the ISUG is the first and only officially registered SOLIDWORKS user group in Pakistan. Our group is working in partnership with SOLIDWORKS, a French company, and we are registered under the esteemed SWUG Network (SWUGN). This global network connects SOLIDWORKS users from all over the world and is being operated by Dassault Systemes. To further strengthen our user group, we took the next step of linking it with academia. We have established our first club, CEME SOLIDWORKS Club (CSC), at EME NUST, that is a constituent college of the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), a top-ranked university in Pakistan according to QS Ranking. This serves as the hub of our activities. Our primary goal is to promote SOLIDWORKS learning and skills among the youth of Pakistan, especially students so that they can contribute to the country's economy and society. We are so grateful to SOLIDWORKS for sponsoring 17 amazing perks for our members. At Islamabad SOLIDWORKS User Group (ISUG), we are working on four Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity. SDG 4: Quality Education. Through our online and in-person sessions SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. Help businesses to improve their products and processes through Design Challenges. SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. Organise competitions to build more sustainable infrastructure like green buildings, renewable energy systems, and public transportation. SDG 13: Climate Action. Support organisations to design more efficient products, using recycled materials and reducing energy consumption. Together we can make a better and prosperous world. Let us join hands and move forward towards a noble cause.

Exciting News from the Islamabad SOLIDWORKS User Group (ISUG) Bootcamp! Last Tuesday, during the SOLIDWORKS Bootcamp, I hosted a SOLIDWORKS Surface Modeling Workshop where I explained the fundamentals of surface modeling. To bring the theory in practice, I demonstrated how to apply the skills by modeling the iconic Panton Chair in SOLIDWORKS. To encourage participation, I announced an exciting challenge: every participant who successfully modeled the chair in SOLIDWORKS and shared their work would have the chance to win the grand prize — the SOLIDWORKS & CFD Formula 1 Course (valued at $497) along with a cash prize. The response was overwhelming! Over the past few days, I’ve been tagged in dozens of posts from participants showcasing their own beautifully modeled chairs, modeled with techniques learned in the workshop. After careful consideration, I’m thrilled to announce that the winner of the SOLIDWORKS Surface Modeling Bootcamp is... Almamoun Adel! 🏆🎉 Not only did Almamoun complete the chair model, but he also went the extra mile by writing an engaging post about his learning experience and even 3D-printed two of his modeled chairs — an incredible effort! Congratulations, Almamoun! I’ll be reaching out to you soon, and I’m excited to help you take your SOLIDWORKS skills to the next level. I was also deeply impressed by the incredible post and stunning renderings shared by Ahmed Nadeem. His work stood out so much that I decided to spontaneously create a second prize: access to the SOLIDWORKS Boeing 747 Course! Congratulations, Ahmed—amazing work! 🏆😃 To all other participants, thank you for your enthusiasm and creativity! As a token of appreciation, I’m offering a €100 discount coupon for any of my SOLIDWORKS product modeling courses. If you’re interested, send me a DM with a link to your post, and I’ll share the coupon with you.
