Key Responsibilities:

Category Growth & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to grow the FMCG category, leveraging in-depth market expertise.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competition to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Define and execute plans to achieve key category KPIs, including revenue, profitability, and market share.

Key Account & Seller Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and sellers to drive category performance.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions to optimize category profitability and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to enhance seller performance.

People Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of account managers and category specialists, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear expectations, monitor progress, and provide feedback to drive individual and team success.

Seller Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Identify and onboard high-value sellers to expand the FMCG product portfolio.
  • Develop and execute seller acquisition strategies to ensure category diversity and growth.
  • Oversee the onboarding process to integrate new sellers seamlessly into the platform.

Commercial Acumen & Pricing:

  • Design and implement competitive pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing based on market conditions and competitor actions.
  • Drive initiatives to optimize category P&L and ensure financial sustainability.

Data Analytics & Insights:

  • Leverage data analytics tools to monitor category performance and inform decision-making.
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights to senior management.
  • Use data to identify gaps and opportunities in the category and recommend solutions.

3P Marketplace Management:

  • Manage third-party (3P) sellers to ensure high-quality offerings and customer satisfaction.
  • Optimize seller performance through ongoing reviews, support, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance marketplace functionality and user experience.

FMCG Market Expertise:

  • Stay updated on FMCG industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.
  • Leverage market knowledge to differentiate the category and enhance brand positioning.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing insights and recommendations for category development.

Competitive Analysis & Market Insights:

  • Conduct in-depth competitive analysis to inform category strategies.
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Use insights to drive innovation and differentiation in the FMCG category.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and technology teams to align category goals with business objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to improve customer experience, streamline processes, and enhance category performance.


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in key account or category management within the FMCG and eCommerce industry.
  • Proven expertise in team leadership and people management.
  • Deep understanding of the FMCG market, including trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics.
  • Strong commercial acumen with basic experience in managing category P&L.
  • Proficient in data analytics and insights-driven decision-making.
  • Expertise in seller acquisition, onboarding, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of marketplace dynamics and 3P seller management.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Agile and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
