Johor Bahru Hotels with Swimming Pools

Service: Good. The staff upgraded our room type and allow early check in @ 11am. Location: Good, It has all basic amenities nearby, especially massage, salons, food options Breakfast: Spread is good and selection is wide. If you book early, the breakfast price is very reasonable and definitely value for money. Although there are many options nearby, I’m ok to pay for convenience. Room: Cleanliness is acceptable to my standards. Toilets are equipped with basic toiletries and is sufficient for us. Lightings is warm but not bright enough, it will be good if room can be brightly lit. P.S: Only Monday nights have night market and it’s outside the hotel entrance. It’s very bustling and definitely worth checking them out especially the food stalls

Location not too bad. Amenities are not much. Booked a family suite. Common room sink choked. Master room shower doesn't have hot water, only bathtub has hot water supply. No mineral water only water dispenser. Breakfast choice average. Overall, not so bad.

I had an incredible stay at the Amari Hotel in Johor Bahru and couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. The hotel’s modern design and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a truly enjoyable visit. One standout feature was the breakfast buffet – it was absolutely fantastic! The variety of options was remarkable, catering to all tastes. From freshly baked pastries and tropical fruits to an array of hot dishes, there was something for everyone. I particularly loved the local delicacies, such as nasi lemak and dim sum, which added a unique touch to the spread. The quality of the food was top-notch, and the presentation was beautiful. The attentive staff ensured that the dining experience was seamless, and the dining area itself offered a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere with a stunning view. If you're staying at the Amari Johor Bahru, make sure to start your day with their breakfast buffet – it's a perfect way to fuel up before exploring the city! Highly recommended!

We arrived at 2:30 PM and were promptly checked in, even though the official check-in time is 3 PM. We were assigned Room 215, a corner room at the very end of the corridor. While the receptionist assured us it had a sea view, the reality was quite different—our “view” was of trees and the highway, which was disappointing. The room itself is spacious, but the bathroom was a major letdown. It features a semi-circular bathtub that requires climbing into, which isn’t ideal. To make matters worse, there’s no shower curtain, so every shower leaves the bathroom completely flooded with water. Unfortunately, this issue persists and has made our stay quite inconvenient.

I was having a course there, so had to book the hotel for 2 nights. Here are some of my thoughts regarding my stay: Pros: 1. The staff at the counter were excellent. I reached earlier then check in time, so she offered to keep my luggage. 2. Managed to check in earlier. 3. Room was somewhat comfortable and spacious. 4. Location is good, near to eatery places and malls. 5. Food was acceptable. A good spread of heavy and light food. 6. Higher level rooms offer spectacular views of JB and the large windows accentuate that. Cons: 1. The hotel itself is pretty old and worn out. Need some or total refurbishment to compete with other hotels in the area. 2. Ironing equipment and area needs to be improved. 3. Amenities in the room are old. Didn’t have water kettle although coffee and tea sachets were provided. 4. The cafe afternoon tea service was too slow. Had to wait almost an hour to get my goreng pisang package and the taste was horrible. Didn’t get to use swimming pool and other amenities so I would have to reserve my comment. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and the price was affordable.

I have a good stay at Doubletree. I have a welcome cookie when I arrived for checkin, is so cool. They have a whatsapp chat to follow-up on our stay to ensure everything is in order. So far this is the best hotel i stayed.

Location: 5-10 mins walking to KSL, not considered near especially with current hot weather. Service: Counter staff is friendly but they assigned me only at #07 cos that’s what we paid for. They offered to safekeep my luggage while I go shop at KSL Room Condition: Cleanliness is ok. Room is big. Bed and pillow is ok. Toilet is ok, basic toiletries provided. Only bath towels and need to request for hand towel, if required. Nothing to wow about. Breakfast: Spread is ok, service staff is friendly. I like the way they handle fruits, it was put in a fridge to keep freshness. 👍 Overall: Room is dated however size is good Feedback: Hotel should consider painting regularly the room entrance and toilet ceiling as it looks moldy due to Aircon ducting. The moldy affects the first impression that the room is dirty.

Second time staying here with kid. Kid enjoyed the stay. Location is next to KSL just cross road to reach. Hotel Breakfast place and selection was huge. Swimming pool has infinity view. 1.2m only but the length is about a lap. Room was huge. Bathtub and king size bed was so comfy. Even the bedroom slipper is available in the room but no bathrobe. Bed and pillows are comfy too! Service is commendable. I only realised I left my wallet in the room safe box after check out. The staff were helpful and Ms Norahakim (hope i got your name correct) quicky escorted us back to the room to retrieve my wallet from the safe box. Thank you very much Holiday Villa JB.

Dear Crystal Crown Management Team, First of all, I would like to thank you for the hospitality during this period. To begin with, I have a brother who is currently serving quarantine at Hotel Ramada, so I know exactly what are the two hotels offering and its differences. Nevertheless, my stay with Crystal Crown has been a decent one which I am grateful for. I will also be honest with you that there are quite number of areas which need to be improved, not only for the wellbeing of the next batch of guests, but also for the benefit of your staff members. Hence, I would like to provide some constructive suggestions. 1) Communications a) Clarity on the rules of food / items delivery. The RELA briefed us on the arrival day, but it was unclear as we were seated outdoor. A suggestion is to include pictures in your document. See the attached photo for illustration. Besides pasting the rules at the entrance, you could also print it out in black and white for every room, together with the welcome letter. I believe that once the rules are spelled out clearly, the guests will manage their expectations accordingly. b) Distribute the 14 days necessities (e.g. mineral waters, trash bag, toiletries) at one shot. This is also a good practice of Hotel Ramada. Not only the guests can ration the items based on their needs, it also saves your hotel staff the trouble of attending to the needs of the guests at all time. c) Discontinue the whatsapp group. I understand the intention of setting up the group is for emergency purpose. But we all clearly know that this is not the case. Unfortunately, the chat group becomes a platform of all sorts of stuff: from requesting the daily necessities, clarifying the same delivery rules, asking the staff to pick up and send food / items, to spamming the group of 198 people with complaints and feud, or even turning the group into personal chat room. I believe once point a) & b) are sorted out, there is less need to use the whatsapp group as the main channel of communication. We can always use the phone in our room to call the front desk for additional requests or attend to emergency matters. Respecting the guests’ privacy is very much appreciated. 2) Dietary Preferences a) Make the effort to collect guests’ dietary needs and be committed to attend to it. This is a basic etiquette and fundamentals of the hospitality industries. Peanut and seafood allergies can be severe and deadly. The health of people with medical conditions (e.g. diabetes) could be affected. Not to mention the vulnerable such as the elderly, young children and pregnant women. We are human after all, hence the importance of mutual respect – treat the guests the way you want to be treated. b) Look after the well-being of the vegetarians. I would like to speak up for the vegetarians, especially those who practise strict vegetarianism. They cannot to take onions, garlic, chives, green onions and leeks, as it cause anger and desi

Swift check-in process Hazwani/Diana attended to me and present the key card. Room has no fridge. Only x1 plug/socket to charge my electronic device. Do bring your own power bank for hp to be recharged. No complimentary mineral bottles. Jaya Grocer is just opposite via RF mall, went there to buy, wide choices available in store. Toothbrush and toilet amenities provided. Washroom very spacious and clean. Had breakfast at RF mall since there's quite few new food stalls : Chicken Rice Xpress / Pizza/ All things Fried Loveeeee the location as it's nice to be away from the crazy chaos of human traffic at JBCC/KOMTAR Had my 40th Bday feast at Todak Seafood Restaurant 😋 Highly recommend !
