Positive: Location near the train and bus station, shopping street and center. Bed is OK. Wifi good, but first day and night not available because the router had to be rebooted. (What the man apparently didn't know at the lobby) Cleanliness OK, staff friendly and helpful. TV has many channels. At the outskirts of the street, the hotel has a sixty parking spaces in a closed parking. Negative: room rather small, toilet and shower is common on the gang. View from the room nihil (small indoor path). Foot end bed is still a wooden stick (not really hotel bed). Because of the small size of the room we have been hit several times. Just a little washing box in the room.

We arrived late one night and left early the next morning, so did not notice a lot of things previously mentioned, like no coffee or tea, water etc. In saying that, our beds and pillows were comfortable and the towels were new, plush and big - definitely a change from the norm. The rooms and bathroom were funky, with quality fixtures and fittings - we liked the design a lot, although it was a little dim lighting wise. We ate dinner and breakfast there as did not have time to explore Luxembourg at all. Both meals were very good - would definitely eat there again. Check in was slow and staff (in particular the female) had a bit of attitude! It was the most expensive place we stayed in our 4 weeks in Europe - but it's Luxembourg I guess.

The walk from the train station is uphill, we made it slowly! We were able to check-in a little early which was appreciated. The room was nice and clean. The service was friendly. The snacks for the evening could be better, however the breakfast selection was good. There were scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs available along with a variety of meats and cheeses, fruits, breads, sweets. Based on restaurant breakfast expenses the value is good. Getting a taxi upon check out was sketchy, asked the desk to order one for the next day, the next day didn’t know which entrance it would be coming to and ended up having to hail one for ourselves out front.

The location of this Hotel is very good near to the train station. There are several kind of restaurants near to the hotel. This time is family trip, I go to Luxembourg with my two children and previously I ask for a free extra bed, we have a quite comfortable stay in this hotel. And this room is near to the place for breakfast and there is a kid corner , my son likes to play LEGO in that zone. The check out time is also good for our family, we only have to check out before 12:00. It is not too rush for us !

GREAT hotel! I was a little bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but this place was great! Extremely friendly front desk, extremely big room, a terrace with an extremely lovely view of the valley and the city, and a very short walk in to town to see all of the stuff! It’s not a five star. You can tell that it used to be quite nice in its heyday.. we did not have the breakfast, but we did have a dinner there and it was lovely ! I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for the price considering the expensive nature of Luxembourg. Get a room on the bottom floor with a terrace.

Couldn't have been happier with my stay at Empire. The location was ideal, being just across the road from the main train station and tram stop, making it incredibly easy to travel to all the sights that the city has to offer. As for the hotel itself, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable, clean and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend to anyone planning to visit Luxembourg City!

While it is a bit of a walk from the nearest tram station, the room was amazing. As a well designed physical space 10/10, interior design 10/10. Refrigerator and beautiful mid 20th century design red chairs were a visual knockout. The wall next to the bed had a panel that had to have been a hand painted “mural”, from floor to the ceiling a gentle blue gradation that was a joy to experience from the super comfy bed. I would definitely book a room the next time I visit Luxembourg City.

Review of thurs 28.12.23: Room 502 Hotel Grey Luxembourg. Quant hotel open 24 hours. Right across from the main train station. The room was modern with a safe, tea and coffee facilities, fridge, and built-in wall radio Rooms with modern decor and soundproof. The bathroom was nice with a big shower. The reception staff Sabir was very helpful. Free Wi-Fi is available. We did not have breakfast. All trams and buses are free to use. Walking distance to the tourist section. The title pretty much sums it. I spend two nights here. Great location, everything is pretty much walking distance and easily accessible. All the important bus lines run right next to the hotel. Rooms nice and tidy, staff extremely friendly - especially the lovely lady working there tuesday evening 19th, super friendly and helpful!
