The apartment we got was not in good shape. Be aware that the hotel policies are quite restrictive and very few services are provided. There is no handsoap and the bare minimum of anything in terms of toiletries. Changing sheets and towels costs extra. The apartment building has a small convenience store that is open at odd hours. The location is good for Meleka, on the quiet side which is a break from the activities on Jonker street.

I recently stayed at this charming Bali Residences in Malacca, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The location is superb – nestled in a peaceful area yet conveniently close to the city’s major attractions, including Jonker Street and the historic landmarks. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, and well-furnished. It had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, from a fully equipped kitchenette to cozy bedding and modern bathrooms. The interior decor had a welcoming, homey vibe, which made it an excellent retreat after a day of sightseeing. The host was incredibly accommodating, providing clear instructions for check-in and ensuring the stay was smooth. They also shared great tips on nearby places to eat and visit, which enhanced our trip. One minor drawback was the lack of mobile network coverage in the apartment. While the Wi-Fi provided was strong and reliable, not having mobile connectivity was slightly inconvenient, especially when stepping outside or trying to make calls. Despite this, I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Malacca. It offers great value for money and an excellent base for exploring the city!
