We are pleased to announce that Mads Bentzen Billesø, Head of Innovation & Partnerships at DFDS, will join us as a speaker at the Ship Propulsion Summit in Rotterdam on March 20, 2025. His extensive knowledge will contribute valuable insights, enriching the event. Mads is Head of Innovation and Partnerships in DFDS with a strong focus on strategy, concept and partnership development and management of a number of innovation, automation and decarbonization projects within shipping and logistics. Mads is building partnerships, Open Innovation spaces and projects with external partners. After ending his career at sea in 2005, Mads worked in the National Coordination at Danish Maritime Safety Administration (DaMSA) responsible for vessel management and Maritime Safety Information. Mads held a position as Project Manager in Danish Maritime Authority (Government), involved in a number of national and international projects dealing with safety at sea, e-navigation and digitalization, standardization and maritime technology, including EfficienSea, ACCSEAS, STM Validation Project, Nautical Information Directory (Niord), BalticWeb and ArcticWeb. In addition to strategy and project development, Mads is active in several Steering Committees and Advisory Groups and have represented Denmark in Committees, Working Groups, Expert groups and a number of other fora under IMO, IHO, IALA, Arctic Council and in various standardization groups.
