For our last board night, we decided to go to The Taps. It is a small pub with games in the center of Warsaw. We had the opportunity to make ourselves comfortable on the mezzanine floor and start our games. 🎲 What did we choose this time? First, our attention was drawn to the game Fingers to Fingers. It involves assigning a specific gesture to each player. It could be putting your hands up, crossing your fingers or plugging your nose. Each participant has to remember their gesture and the gestures of the others. The person challenged, by being shown the gesture, must repeat it and then perform the opponent's gesture. This is accompanied by each player knocking out a rhythm with their hands against their knees. We enjoyed this game and were able to test our coordination. 😉 In addition to the aforementioned title, Dixit and Saboteur appeared on our table, board games that we already knew well. A great atmosphere, good music in the background and delicious pizza meant that we had a great time that evening. 😄 We are already starting to look for a venue for our next meeting. The end of the year is the perfect time to take stock of the past months. How did this period go for us in terms of recruitment? Each of these interviews was an opportunity to meet exceptional people, their talents and ideas. 🤝🏻 22 - That's how many new faces we welcomed to the team this year. Each of them has brought a fresh perspective, commitment and energy to our company. 📝 700 - That's quite a high number. We have received close to 700 applications in the last 12 months. It's proof that our company is catching the eye of candidates. When we look at these numbers, we see more than statistics. It's proof that we are growing as an organization that attracts people with passion and supports their development. 2024 was a challenging year, but also full of amazing opportunities to work with exceptional candidates. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this process and especially to the candidates who have trusted us. And what lies ahead in 2025? Board games have become a tradition for us! This time, another edition of our game night was hosted in Opole. 🎲 🃏 What games stole the most attention that evening? We went for diversity, so our table featured the strategic Scythe, but we also enjoyed the more relaxing To ja go tnę. That night, we also discovered a new game called Cascadia. Together, we transported ourselves to the picturesque landscapes of North America and built intricate ecosystems. We must admit that our game nights have become something we eagerly look forward to each month. Remote or hybrid work is undoubtedly the most popular form of fulfilling work responsibilities nowadays. Many people have the opportunity to use this solution, but not everyone knows how to approach it. So what should you do to make it effective? Working from home is far more relaxed, but it's important to remember that this is a time for full concentration, not relaxation. The simplest solution is to create a list of tasks you want to take care of. Keep in mind that making a list is one thing, and actually sticking to its points is another. 🔹 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. If there is clutter around you, it will be difficult to focus fully on your tasks. A clean and organized environment helps maintain productivity. 🔹 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Favorite series on Netflix? An entertaining TV show? Or maybe your phone is filled with apps where something is always happening? Working remotely, you need to cut yourself off from all these distractions. Instead of constantly glancing at the screen, schedule breaks during which you can recharge your batteries. These tips, though obvious, are often overlooked. Research shows that remote work is not less effective than working in the office – it just requires a proper approach. You shouldn’t treat it like a day off. Our teams are constantly integrating. 😊 Another example is the IoT team for 'special tasks': The Fellowship of the Things, which integrated with our partner from Leipzig in Warsaw. Honestly, sports activities along with concept workshops, Greek cuisine, and a long-term vision presented by Christian Völker, made for a fantastic combination! Our meeting organizer Katarzyna Młynarczyk did a wonderful job for her team! We are finishing this two-day meeting with inspiring new ideas and exciting plans for the future, which we will soon start implementing in the projects. "What equipment do you need for a meeting room?"  "Two large tables, please."  “Any chairs?”  “Nope.”  “And how many participants?”  “Around 20 people and 20.000 LEGO bricks.”    As we were preparing for our Software House team integration event, we fixed conditions with the hotel in Cracow where we were going to meet. See the photos below! We spent the afternoon playing with LEGO. However, it was only seemingly a game. In reality, we were learning many things, and bricks were merely a tool: moving, observing, thinking, and collaborating with our colleagues was the real deal of it.   So why LEGO? Joanna Sokołowska, our Scrum Master Team Leader, had the idea to use it as a team-building tool. We used a bricks-based project to simulate a Scrum software development environment. We assigned roles such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Developers, by building a city according to requirements delivered sprint by sprint, we experienced firsthand the iterative nature of Scrum.   This hands-on exercise translated directly into our daily work by emphasizing the importance of clear communication, adaptability, and collaboration within cross-functional teams. The LEGO activity not only reinforced Scrum principles but also enhanced our ability to respond effectively to changing requirements in our projects.   If you haven't tried LEGO for team building yet, you should do it! It’s clearly a novel experience. Not only did we strengthen our professional skills, but we also gained a new enthusiasm for exploring and discovering Cracow’s attractions.   Have you had a similar experience with LEGO?
