It's our initiative from last year aimed at developing the soft and hard skills of our team, where we gather together for one day of workshops and trainings. What’s worth emphasizing, we learn not just from areas useful for work, but also day-to-day life, chosen specifically by our Training & Development team.💡 So, last week, it was time for Vol.2! We had an opportunity to develop unique skills including leadership, emotional intelligence, child development as a parent, personal budget, yoga and photography.🔛 At DONE we believe that development begins with continuous training and pushing boundaries, so this initiative aligns perfectly with one of our organizational values - #Explore. 🚛 Prepare for January 1st: Upcoming Tachograph Regulation Changes The transport market is about to undergo significant changes that could impact the availability of carriers, delivery timelines, and transport costs. As of January 1, 2025, new tachograph regulations will come into effect, requiring international transport vehicles in the EU to meet stricter compliance standards. What’s Changing? 🔹 Mandatory Upgrades: By December 31, 2024, all analog and first-generation (G1) tachographs must be replaced with second-generation smart tachographs (G2V2). 🔹 Extended Data Retention: Starting in January, drivers must retain 56 days of tachograph data (up from 28 days). 🔹 Increased Inspections: Longer inspections and severe penalties, including fines of up to €30,000 and vehicle immobilization, for non-compliance. What Does This Mean for Your Operations? 🚚 Fewer Available Carriers: Non-compliant vehicles may be grounded, reducing transport options. 💰 Higher Costs: Delays in upgrades could lead to increased expenses and limited-service availability. ⏳ Potential Delays: Non-compliance can disrupt supply chains and delivery schedules. These January changes are only the first step—additional regulations in August 2025 and July 2026 will continue to reshape the industry. As we approach the new year, temporary price increases and slightly lower availability of trucks may occur.
