🟡 One of our latest projects is the TUR MN 1550 lathe, designed for machining heavy elements with diameters up to 1550 mm, lengths up to 2000 mm and weights up to 12,000 kg between centers. 🔧 The machine was designed to make spiral grooves in the material by turning with a constant and variable pitch and with a cylindrical and conical shape. The massive tool head with driven tools also allows for operations such as drilling, threading or face milling. 🔩 Additional equipment is a deep boring attachment mounted directly on the support. The machine is mounted on a monolithic, cast iron bed and wide, deeply hardened and ground guides ensure precision work with large details. If you need a CNC lathe that can machining various materials in automated process, choose the FCT 700 lathe from FAT HACO. 💡 🔸For our client, we conducted a series of tests on the machining of protective insulators, which act as housings (covers) for electric current transformers and power transformers. 🔸The insulator was subjected to various forms of machining, from milling the outer coating to rough turning in resin and metal. In order to save time, after mounted the workpiece on the self-centering clamps located in the holder and tailstock, the entire machining process was automated by controlled movement of the hydraulic steady rest and tailstock. 🔸The large amount of dust emitted from the machined resin required the installation of a central dust extraction system, connected directly to the tool head. 📺 Watch the video to see how our slant bed lathe performs in this machining… #CNCmachining #Insulator #Resin #Metal #Slantbed
