🚀 Is founding a startup really rocket science? Sometimes it is—quite literally! Meet Loft Orbital, one of the first (if not the first) French Space-as-a-Service startups, reshaping access to satellite data. More and more data we use today—whether for maritime traffic, weather forecasting, or agriculture—comes from satellites. But until recently, if a company needed satellite data, it meant huge investments and years-long projects. After all, launching a satellite isn't easy! 🚀🌍 Loft Orbital recognized this market need and connected the dots that already existed, drastically cutting the cost of accessing satellite data. Think of Loft Orbital as the "airline ticket seller" for space. 🎟️ The "passengers" are sensors, each collecting data for a different customer, and the "plane" is a satellite launched by specialized companies like SpaceX. One hub on the satellite can take up to five sensor "passengers" on a space journey! The raw data collected is then processed and analyzed by customers, who know exactly what to do with it. Thanks to this model, costs are significantly reduced, and Loft Orbital’s engineers, led by Pierre-Damien Vaujour, ensure that sensors are installed and data collection runs smoothly. 🎯🛰️ Loft Orbital couldn't ask for more capable leadership. Vaujour, a graduate of ISAE Supaero in Toulouse and the University of Michigan, has a dream career. He worked with ESA and NASA, participated in the development of space tourism during the Google Lunar X PRIZE, and founded Loft Orbital after being one of the first employees at Spire, a satellite data company evolving within the new space industry. With over 65 founders, investors, and tech innovators in attendance, it was a fantastic opportunity for networking, idea sharing, and collaboration. We had insightful keynotes from industry leaders: 🎤 Benjamin Revcolevschi on "How Can Europe Win the Race in Quantum?" He highlighted the critical role of Quantum technologies in transforming industries and the need for sustainable AI solutions to support its growth. 🌱💡   🎨 David Sypniewski took us on a creative journey with his talk on AI’s impact on art, exploring how AI is expanding artistic boundaries and sparking new forms of expression. 🤖🎶 We also celebrated a special milestone— OVHcloud's 20th anniversary in the Polish market with a surprise cake! 🎂🇵🇱 Once again: Happy Anniversary, OVHcloud! This Forum plays a pivotal role in shaping Europe's business and political landscape, making it an essential event for key stakeholders. 🤝 As an institutional partner of the Forum, French Tech Warsaw was proud to contribute to important conversations about tech growth and European collaboration. We were thrilled to engage in meaningful discussions with influential leaders and experts, and we look forward to seeing the fruits of these conversations in the months to come. 👏 A special mention to Karolina Zawitaj, who, as the coordinator for France and Benelux, puts tremendous effort into making the Forum a success each year.
